Meme Thread for Both Posting and Discussing Memes

I have a lot of respect for the trades and have no problem telling the people in them that I respect their skill to their faces one must give credit where it is due after all.
An illiterate ditch digger with a shovel probably doesn't know why the drainage ditch you hired him to dig needs to be dug in a certain way. He does know how to dig it and will give you the drainage ditch you hired him to dig.

EDIT: You can not build a structure meant to last without first digging a hole in the ground.

And sometimes even not about their jobs. My late granda understood more about the world and people around her with four years of the primary school than most university professors I've met did. She just couldn't explain it anywhere as verbosely.
Indeed. In Poland after 1945,it was workers and farmers who saw through commie shit.Dudes after schools usually fall for it.

Not gonna say I told you so, but...
Even if someone invented Dustin J Davis's app or something functionally equivalent to it tomorrow, wealthy media corps would bribe their politician cronies to ban it on the spot. The excuse given would be think-of-the-children-tier arguments about the fear of fake porn/political videos, but the real motivation would be to protect their own careers, since as soon as any hobbyist could match a professional special effects company in their free time, actual media corporations would have to rely on writing quality and IP ownership to avoid going under in a heartbeat.

Explain?
Is it a Pinocchio reference?

Yeah, it is.

More specifically, it pokes fun at Rachel Maddow (the MSNBC host) for looking (and acting) overly masculine — despite being a woman, biologically and self-identified both.

That, I can certainly agree with!

Really, it both amuses and irritates me how most people — liberals, conservatives, and centrists alike — uncritically believe “More spending!”, “More regulation!”, and “More government!” in general will make their problems go away, without ever doing a proper cost-benefit analysis or asking why these problems came about in the first place. (Hint: It’s usually the same thing they beg to solve their problems to begin with. ;))
