For a long time(south park has been around a long time now) I didn't know that Token Black's name was literally "Token Black" like the literal words/phrase as in a token black person. I thought token was just like one of those cultural names that they give each other, like Tyreese, Shaquil, Tyrone, La-ha(dash don't be silent), Kashwon, Jamal, Denzel etc and black is a common enough last name.
For me and I suspect many others that southpark episode where the kids are so not racist they don't understand why some people want to change the flag really hits home. They were so not racist they didn't realize that it was hanging a black person, to them it was just a person being hung by other people and they wanted to preserve a historical flag. People have kept poking as of late and it is no longer true, as race has been forced into everything and people have seen the true colors and behavior of others and forced to take sides.
