Yeah, it's exactly as I thought, it was a genetic hermaphrodite with confused genitalia. Buried with female dress and a sword. The other thing to consider is, was this person a "respected warrior" or just from a rich family? You can't make sweeping statements about the state of a culture based on individual finds. There have been individual warrior women in every culture and place, usually by pretending to be men and being so utterly masculine in appearance that they can get away with it, that doesn't say anything about the state of those cultures.
