"Legal would like you to see the difference."

LOL.

Me, an amateur meme-maker:

Not an expert on the education system myself, but really… I can’t wrap my head around why, after generations of proof showing how fucked up it is, people in 2023 are still defending public schooling. In fact, many of them even insist we funnel more money the public schools’ way when, as I understand it, we’ve been signing off big checks to them for decades — and despite that, still get teachers sleeping with kids, a school-to-prison pipeline, and the latest in a long line of underserved students who won’t be the last to suffer twelve years of criminal dumbing-down at the taxpayer’s expense. :(

Same reason men in the US mutilate the genitals of their sons.

'I went through it, so they should too. Right?'

Plus it the fact that they want people working to generate taxes and think the right way, so they encourage, through the media and such, sending children to these grossly under performing institutions. Where they then promptly spend more money on administrators than teachers and supplies or money laundering.

By that logic, aren’t fathers and men in general making a mistake by working seventy-hour weeks and spending their Holidays on the job, too?

I get we like to rag on feminism a whole lot here, but I can imagine this sort of routine is pretty soul-destroying for men, as well. Because even if they’re more “naturally inclined” to be regular breadwinners, they’re still missing out on their kids, wives, and loved ones by slaving away at work — which again, probably isn’t healthy for them, either. If anything, I’d say it’s less than women needn’t sacrifice everything at the altar of their careers… and more that no one should — men and women both.
Of course they are.

I am of the opinion that a lot of modern feminism can be explained by the realization that career-focused feminism encourages women to (1) pursue careers, which depresses the price of labor; and (2) be content with singleness, which increases societal consumption while decreasing population growth.
