Eh populism is historically very unstable it really only happens as a grand alliance when one corner of the quadrent has fucked up very badly. Once said fuck up is dealt with populist coalitions tend to collapse and politics tend to form a more stable arrangement. The thing is the more you kick a populist movement and avoid nessary reforms the more powerful it becomes because your not addressing the worries of the people who have it.
