Of course that wont stay true in the case of a chinese war. Well be conscripted and made to die so we can become less free and more like china.

My taxes of course will be taken to support it no matter what.

But sure, for now its volunteer and the people who own the country can die for it. I dont see that happening however.
A draft to fight china would unironically mean the beginnings of the second american civil war. Possible death by fighting in a meatgrinder war against foreigners who you've got no quarrel with, vs possible death by fighting the people trying to use you as cannon fodder. And that's assuming that things don't go nuclear, in which case, shortly, the goverment would be in no state to enforce penalties upon draft dodgers.

Oh but totally trustworthy USA intelligence community (you know, CIA, NSA and the like) claims it is Russia, Iran and Venezuela that are trying to meddle in American matters, not the China
I can assure you, China is also on rhT list

We absolutely hate China.

I know the whole Ronald Reagon quote of where if we let them have on area they'll move onto the next and the next, till only America is left. But that's not realistic you know. I mean let's pretend your worst case scenario comes about China becomes a super power they make Korea, and Japan vassal states and dominate the pacific and Asia. How does that affect Europe or America? Now it will affect trade but, territory wise it won't be a threat the Chinese won't send forces to Alaska or Texas, or New York, or Berlin, or Moscow, or Paris, or London. They have no reason or desire to do so. The most nationalist pro Chinese segments of their society want to be number 1 and regain their glory days of the Ancient Chinese Empire. None of that requires them spreading Maoism to Europe or the Americas.

I'm sorry, but this is not an accurate understanding of the world. The Chinese may think they can do it without needing to carry out military conquest, but they absolutely intend to dominate the world, and impose their culture and laws on its entirety.

Did you know they have passed laws that make it illegal to criticize the CCP when you are in other countries?

The Chinese Communist Party absolutely will grow into a world-wide threat if it can.

China's moves into Africa suggest they're not going to stop at the borders of ancient China. Though I'm sure there's some ancient map that shows that Africa has always been a vassal state to China.

So what? Why is US hegemony good?
I am not the one you asked, but to answer anyways: Because I want my country to be #1 and set the terms for other countries, and set trade policy that is favorable to us.

Sorry if this offends any of our foreign members, but I'm not going to pretend like the US doesn't come first for me. I live here, and my most important political concern is the US being top dog, because that's what's best for me and my loved ones.

Except the trade policy has explicitly not been to the benefit of the United States. It’s been to the benefit of just about every other nation in our sphere of influence, meanwhile America sheds blood and treasure so that corporatists and politicians can get richer while our jobs continually get sent overseas or taken by the seemingly permanent illegal migrant underclass.

Why should we protect a trade and political order that is of no benefit to the American people?

US Trade Hegemony is what has deindustrialized the country while simultaneously importing ever larger amount's of cheap labour, both skilled and unskilled and exporting butt secks, dildoes, and pron. How exactly is that good for anyone's family?

That's why I supported Trump.

He wanted to fix that

Trade is important.
We should be self sufficient and cut off China.
We shouldn't cut off trade all together though.
We can get goods and stuff from other countries, like food goods, and various other goods that can not be made in the US.

And in order to do that, our Navy is the protector of the seas for a reason. Being Number one means we stay the most powerful country in the world, and that is how I see America first. A self sufficient country that has a single culture. American culture, and allows the world to have peaceful trade with each other.

Sure 'nough, when I did a check I found that Ancient Chinese Maps and other reports showing that Africa used to be theirs/tributed them are already showing up.
