You know, it would've been fucking hilarious if "Super Conquistador" would've burst in then, who's like the Imperial Spanish version of Homelander or Red Son Superman, and then just wrecked everyone's shit and declared himself King.

I would've loved to see watchers' jaws drop, lol.
And made Kahhori his personal slave in hentai style. With spanish tentacles,of course !

The older I get the more my feelings towards the MCU sour as it feels like a monkeys paw with. Sure we got to see the avengers on the big screen and become popular in the mainstream but man, it's done so much damage to the comics themselves.

No the Comics were destroyed regardless of the MCU, perhaps even in spite of it. If anything the MCU has been life support for the Comics which were already spiraling downward into politics and ideology even in the early days of Marvel Studios. It's possible the Comics likely had a more deleterious effect on Marvel Studios as of late then vice versa because as the Marvel Studios ran out of ideas to adapt, they began adapting stories from more recent comics like with the Ms. Marvel series and the like which were lackluster at best.

Actually, the natives are doomed. I doubt her super powers cover disease resistance.
"I have superpowers, colonialist scum!"
"I cast sneeze and Black Death! Make peace with your gods, fuckers!"

However, humour aside, that'd also work in reverse; New World Diseases could ravage Europe, Africa, and Asia, right?

Well the most famous New World disease that ravaged the Old World was the Sexually Transmitted Disease Syphilis. There are very gruesome accounts you could probably look up of Europeans suffering from body horror level effects of that disease in the years after it started spreading through the Old World.

No doubt it's somewhat ironic considering the recent tangent on hentai and tentacles. (Kahhori might actually come out the victor in that scenario as well!) :p

But I don't think any New World disease ravaged the Old World population as much as vice versa, likely thanks to the huge urban centers stretching across Eurasia and the amount of illnesses that were transferred from livestock and other animals to humans which just didn't exist in the New World.

Syphilis is a New World disease? Huh, the more you know.

Actually there are two other things she could have used. Tobacco and hot peppers. It's called Montezuma's Revenge for a reason.

Indeed,she could.
Jokes aside - she is Mohawk, and spaniards looked for Fontain of Eternal Younth, which was supposed to be somewhere in Florida.
Spaniards should fight indians from Florida here, not Mohawks.

If i remember correctly, they actually did it and conqered Florida, but i forget which tribes lived there.
Certainly not Mohawks!
Maybe Seminoles?

Just saw Echo on Disney Plus and while it took a lot of liberties from the comic book character... including not even using the comic books powerset of photographic martial arts abilities (like Taskmaster style) and other changes made, it was still a pretty good series for the most part. Keeping in mind it wasn't great, but I liked the character interaction and the story they were trying to tell in the Choctaw nation of Oklahoma and that whole setting. I liked the cultural bits they put in. The characters they developed. It was all really good and well done I feel for being only a five episode series. Even the action scenes were good and I even liked how they were cut. There were even some long shots of the martial arts choreography.

There were some cringe moments including some really bad MSheU style dialogue that had my eyes rolling but for the most part it was few and far in between.

But the main concern was that throughout the series, there were these flashbacks to Choctaw history and mythology of previous strong Choctaw women and I didn't really care for them... some were nice but overall it was kind of random and I was wondering "Oh no... what is this leading to?"

So anyways it led to the climax and me being unaware that I was already watching the climax episode five episodes in, I was kinda taken by surprise... and then I was disappointed when I realized yes in fact, this was the climax. And the last ten minutes of the show were absolutely terrible.

All of those random flashbacks to Choctaw mythology and history led to the utilization of magic Indian powers, not just by Echo... but others as well.

SMH... It didn't stick the landing... at all. Basically built this nice story and decided to take a shit on it all at the very end.

Apparently the new Spiderverse movie or whatever will be casting Dakota Johnson as Madame Web in a move decried as being both ageist and erasing of disability since Madame Web is blind.

I'm of two minds about this. On one hand it means Madame Web is far more bangable now.

On the other hand... Now that she is no longer blind I am likely in turn am far less bangable. 😑

I didn't realize there were so many passionate Madame Web fans out there. They've been following her adventures in comic books and cartoons and more for not just years, but decades and now they will finally have the faithful adaption that her legions of fans have yearned for generations now. A strong cast of well known characters with a comic book story grounded in reality.

With such a dedicated fanbase I'm thinking maybe Madame Web will be the blockbuster film to end this era of Superhero fatigue in film!

Oh right... there was a trailer that came out a couple months ago.

In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing's most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future… and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies...if they can all survive a deadly present.

Coming out in ten days on VALENTINES DAY February 14th!

Well she'd have to have been fairly beautiful and fertile at some point because she's revealed to be a widow and she had like six kids wandering around at one point, but considering that her main role has been as a cryptic exposition dump for Spider-Man I'm surprised she has a large fanbase unless we are specifically talking about the madam Web from the Spider-Man animated series.

Personally I'm still VERY sour about marvel hollowing Julia Carpenter out and making her a Cassandra Web clone and turning around and giving all her character traits to Jessica Drew.

Could this film be bigger then Madame Web?

Bigger then The Blue Beetle?

Even bigger then... THE MARVELS?

For some reason they are titling this film Deadpool & Wolverine. What could it mean? Is it some sort of Easter Egg?

Will this be the Marvel Jesus that this next trilogy of phases of the MCU needs?

Impossible. it will never be able to beat the Marvels. afterall it isn't lame and they aren't chicks. Wolverine is apparently Bi in the comics as he got together with Scott and Jean.
