Leftist Child Grooming

It has a happy ending, don't worry.

No it doesen't.
That story is fake.

I know it's a feel good conservative pat on the back moment but it never actually happened. If it had that father would have been arrested, and the government would have made a show out of punishing him by probably charging him with a hate crime and taking his kids away to be groomed by a gay couple.

This shit should be illegal; any parent trying to make their kid sterilize themselves for 'TLC $$$' is scum.

> My daughter, who was born female, wants to transition to male at age 12 specifically so she could then transition back to female at age 20, to be like [famous person]

I am sorry, but fucking what?
This is even crazier than most because she explicitly plans to detrans before the first trans even occurred.
She does not "identify as a man". she is a woman who wants to stay a woman, she is just planning to "vacation" as a man temporarily...

And even explicitly admits it is just to emulate a famous person and not due to any of their normal made up excuses of body disphoria. Pure trend following.

They even literally have a name for it already. a "double transition". what the actual fuck.

Meanwhile, upstairs in Canada (via Breitbart):
Unless there's proof, I distrust when allegations are thrown out on soc-med/news, even Groomers United ones, by default because of how much of a clusterfuck MeToo has caused, the trend of women pulling this shit all the time against men for no reason, and the whole moronic "believe all women" shit that needs to die.

However, pattern recognition and all that is kicking in too, and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if these allegations were actually true to at least some extent because the Groomers United community is involved.

Molesting single digit-aged or prepubescent kids is rife there.

The problem with slippery slope isn't that it's a fallacy but that it's about as useful as the "No true Scott Fallacy" it can be used to argue against anything and everything but doesn't provide any rules or answers. I could make a pro-tyranny argument by explaining the evils of free will and agency using a slippery slope.

"if you let people have the ability to think, they'll repay you by murdering you in your bed."

or in other words. "Give them a choice and they will choose wrong."

Yeah, you do have to show it's a logical progression. When the Ts were first rolled into the movement, it was as an also-ran to the "coalition of the margins" that the civil rights movement had to resort to to keep its activists in business, with the academic underpinning still being more the original transsexual construction than focusing on gender as a social construct.

Getting from there to Drag Queen Story Hour took a number of incredibly unpredictable changes in premises, most especially the shift from tolerance to normalization as such simply was not on record.

It's always been about normalization, not tolerance.

Even back in the 90's and 2000's, when the mantra of tolerance was strong and oft-repeated, what the main ideas of the movement actually meant was not 'you don't have to agree with it, you just have to not interfere with other people's lives,' it was 'you're not allowed to think that this different lifestyle is morally wrong. If you do, you are morally wrong.'

Movies, TV, magazines, books, etc, didn't go 'Oh, he doesn't like Xs lifestyle, but he still treats X with respect, so it's okay.'

No, it was always 'X is gay, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's a good thing!'

That's not the slippery slope though that's misrepresenting intentions.

A true "slippery slope" would be each step itself leading to the next one. If the bottom of the ant-lion pit was the plan all along, then it's only a slippery slope in the sense of accepting each step down making it easier to take the next one.
