It's as I've always said: 99.99% of people who claim they're "trans" these days are just trans-trenders. They're doing it either because it's trendy, "rebellious", or they have an underlying mental illness or trauma that they think transitioning will magically cure. It's the new Goth, or Emo, or Sk8er Kid subculture.
Unfortunately, unlike those subcultures, this one is filled to the brim with what's basically religious fanaticism, is utterly predatory, is filled with kiddie-fuckers and Alphabet Soup activists, has warped parents that support this bullshit and their kids cutting off their balls and dicks/inverting their vaginas for clout, has a medical system behind it that is encouraging kids to mutilate and mutate themselves for the Almighty Dollar, and is irrecoverably life-destroying.
You either look like a circus freak by the end of it, or you're swinging by a rope by your own hand.
The de-transition stories that are becoming increasingly prevalent are utterly heartbreaking.
This man (and his wife for supporting it) deserve an award for saving his daughter from a dark road and an even darker fate.

The fact such disgusting degeneration happened in the first place is disturbing, but at least there may be consequences for it (I say may because although it is Florida, the based state, it's still the American justice system, which is, frankly, horrifically shit and government-controlled down to the final verdict).

How was that even a question outside of "safe and effective" grade propaganda by activists? A quick google search of studies on that few years ago was enough to learn that they are *partially* reversible with chances of complications, hence not really reversible.
Guess that's one of the reasons why said activists are *really* working hard to minimize the amount of cases of real attempts to reverse it - the open secret coming out may get some medical institutions sued.

Drugs without side effects don't exist. People who thought you could just give tweens hormone blockers without any sort of medical side effects down the line were always either idiots or liars. Its tantamount to arguing you could stay up on cocaine or caffeine for 48 hours without side effects. Just plain blatantly wrong.

No -- most medical staff with any degree of competent training knew the effects. Trust in Pharma had nothing to do with it.
They either just didn't give a shit because they get paid anyway or they were pressured into silence with threats of various types (e.g. career, legal, mob rule, et cetera).
Not just any side effects, but lifelong ones. Hormones are no joke, some people deeper in this topic joke that bodybuilders and middle aged men with sub-optimal T levels may be better off claiming they are transmen or "a man who wants to transition into a beast" to get a testosterone prescription, because doctors are *very* unwilling to prescribe that as more than a last resort to biological men, and they even have scientific reasons for that (lots of side effects and hormonal balance disruption effects to consider, and that's with a hormone the patient should have at the given level naturally).
I doubt any of the people who claimed these hormone treatments were completely reversible actually believed it. They just lied to get what they want, like they always do. Remember, it was never actually about the kids. At best, it's about living vicariously through them, where you have a bunch of depressed trans people who lament the fact they didn't realize they were trans earlier, and think that these treatments would have made their transition easier. Kind of like the Karens who enter their little girls in those beauty pageants because they never got to do something like that. Or, more probably, they already objectify children, and this is a way to keep them in a perpetual androgyny, which they are attracted to. And like pedophiles who kidnapped and actually kept children for a while, they don't actually care about these children, and will discard them as soon as they no longer find them attractive.
