Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Thread

Politically, I'll freely admit I disagree with a lot of the people on this forum. Even then, as someone who considers themselves at the very least left-leaning, this is really the only reasonable outcome. I expected it back when it first happened because it was pretty blatantly self-defense. Especially after watching recordings of everything that went down.

He shouldn't have been there to begin with, but that doesn't really change things.

Though I'm curious. Did they ever end up identifying whoever it was that fired the first shot? In the videos I watched, when Kyle was first being chased someone off camera fired a gun and that's about when he turned around and shot the first guy.
The first shot was the Ziminski's firing in the air (which should result in a reckless endangerment charge of it's own, they had no idea where that bullet would go).

Edit:

Hollywood already trying to make this about race and label Rittenhouse a terrorist, despite the jury verdict.

Yes, a guy named Joshua Ziminski. He has been charged with a few crimes he committed that night, not sure if that's one of them.

I would say 'justice was served', but after the trial started and I dug through the footage and story again, I'm of the mind that justice being served would've involved no media-circus, motivated prosecution of Rittenhouse at all for something that was clear from the outset was a self-defense shooting(s).

Justice being served at this point should really involve some serious questioning and investigation of Binger and friends behavior.
I don't know if that will happen at all or be relegated to something local voters will have to remember for the future.

The salt. The salt deluge has begun. I tried telling some of my liberal buddies it was self-defense a year ago, and they said "stop defending murderers, THASF". Who's laughing, now?

Sneed.

Reminder Biden himself is in the line of fire for lawsuits because of what he said about Rittenhouse, as are most of the mass media.

Now Kyle ought to SUE THE FUCK out of Facebook, Twitter, CNN, MSNBC, all of them, for a billion fucking dollars and spend the rest of his life sipping Mai Tais in the fucking Bahamas.

Meh, he can do better than the Bahama's; with the precedent Sandmann set, Rittenhouse has 'Tahiti for life' money coming.

Between this and the Democrats losing Virginia, you chaps have had some serious wins this year.

That aside, I'm genuinely happy. Kyle should never have been in that court in the first place. He's just a bloody kid, and to get put through all this because the left wants to score political brownie points makes my blood boil.

and honestly they god damned deserve to be savaged because once again the media should not have gotten emotionally invested like this.
I'm not sure what would be the best method for Rittenhouse?

Aim for top dogs of media and power who have the most to lose and drag them through the mud while the iron is hot, or start with small fry first to set precendent, then push all the way to the White House and Biden.

I have a bad feeling about this. We don't know what the Feds and Bumbling Biden might be planning. That Admin already said they would do something if the verdict didn't go the way they wanted. This may not be fully over yet.
lol take a win
Federal prosecutors have chosen to engage in double jeopardy in the past. This is precisely the sort of highly politicized case where the deep state could choose to do so again.

I raise a glass of bourbon to todays verdict... and I will continue to pray for Justice for Kyle, with a capital 'J'. I hope that he is not embittered by the evil done to him, but heartened by those who stood with him.
