Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Thread

You're right; however, there is a major distinction between OJ and Rittenhouse that was mentioned earlier: OJ was already a well known and established public figure, whereas Rittenhouse was not. What this means is that the opinion pieces and libelous statements that MADE him a public figure might still well be actionable since the standards for libel and slander are lower when the figure in question is not a "public figure" and since it was misreporting and opinionating about the incident that made him a public figure, he might have a stronger case.

Possible. The one issue I can see with that is the claim it was the libelous comments specifically that made him a public figure, vs the incident in general making him a public figure and the libelous comments were merely part of the overall media coverage.

The fact of the matter is that the media talking about someone is what makes them a public figure; if they're not, then they're not a public figure, regardless of what they've done. Consider Darrell E Brooks; how many people do you think would be able to tell you who he is and what he did off the top of their heads, without looking him up? He's not a public figure, in spite of the fact that what he did was so much more horrific than anything Rittenhouse was accused of doing.

Seems like it's still kinda stuck in committee, at least as of May.

Actually Cali residents probably have a better idea of if it's going anywhere.
The commerce clause will punch that in the nuts so hard if it passes...

The fact these fuckers haven't been charged and arrested already is fucking bullshit. Why is NBC getting away with this? Why aren't the Feds bringing the hammer down on them? Oh who am I kidding, the feds would have loved to let them catch the jurors and doxx them.

Someone FOIA'd the body-cam footage of cop who caught the car following the Jury bus.

Hoo boy, it wasn't just one guy, this was an entire team working together to figure out where the Jury lived and Doxx them, with an NBC Producer directly involved.

And the proper response to this is to throw the book at them legally but since the Antarianian crime syndicate won't do it, the people of Kenosha should seek remedy on their own.

this is a federal crime, jury intimidation jury tampering is a federal crime and a big fucking deal. Kyle has every reason and right to press charges not only for lying but for this as well in civil court. And this would be on top of criminal charges, its time to drop the hammer on all them.

A group of very mainstream college activist groups want to boot Kyle Rittenhouse from Arizona State University where he is enrolled to take online courses.

New York Post said:
Four groups led by Students for Socialism are behind a rally planned for Wednesday to boot Rittenhouse, 18, who revealed that he was an online student at the Tempe school and would like to live a quiet life on campus.

“KILLER OFF CAMPUS,” reads the flyer, calling for the university to “protect students from a violent, blood-thirsty murderer.”

A list of four demands includes getting the 18-year-old cleared killer withdrawn from ASU, as well as for the school to “release a statement against white supremacy and racist murderer Kyle Rittenhouse.”

Kyle Rittenhouse revealed he was an online student at Arizona State University and would like to live a quiet life on campus.

It also calls for a multicultural center to be a safe space “from white supremacy.” The groups also want police funding to instead go to a multicultural center and to get a CAARE “healing” center.

The protest is also backed by Students for Justice in Palestine, the Multicultural Solidarity Coalition and the Mexican American student group MEChA de ASU.

Biden's Red Guards want Kyle gone because they support child rapists and wife beaters.

Surprised I am not.

Something tells me that the coming storm will be the bloodiest one ever seen and that we'll have a lot of trash to take out when it's all over.

See, the thing is, they really arnt red guards though.
Red guards are scary.
These are just annoying and try to use thier voice as a weapon and resort to backhanded tactics.
The white guards are waiting for when the Blue guards (Cause Dems) get out of hand

They are using our own civility against us, and will be woefully unprepared when we finally run out.

Assuming we ever do and we don’t keep coping...
Until and unless a red wave materializes, and does something to start rolling back the insanity of the last few years, most of it is cope. Biden+Kamala+Wu Flu have utterly fucked the US's economy/society for generations to come, and we will be lucky to avoid a civil war/Balkanization if the Dems keep the insanity up/the GOP mostly remains controlled opposition.

There has been some good news in the courts at least, as evidenced by the Rittenhouse verdict and the vax mandates being blocked in multiple cases.

Hopefully Rittenhouse's lawyers can get the media to pay for their lies and the destruction they helped gloss over during the George Floyd/Jacob Blake riots.
