Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Thread

He started to lose it on the 3rd one, and it went further and further he was to breaking down as they all read Not Guilty

Yeah you could see him fighting back against the tears. He held on well until the end. I can't imagine what it would be like in that position, at 18 to have your entire life based on a 50/50 choice, of freedom, or spending the rest of your life in jail. Yikes.

Noticed a few hot takes today, I like how it's always. "He was acting like a Vigilante, and if that gives him a pass then the others should get one too because They were trying to stop a active shooter. He is in the wrong!"

When they refuse to take into account that the first shot was someone in the crowd, so that would shock anyone, and he wouldn't have shot the second two men, if the first hadn't been ACTIVELY chasing and trying to attack him.

Here comes ya boy Joe Biden to help!

When Trump asked for peaceful protests he was impeached on charges of violence. How much you guys wanna bet we will see much worse than broken doors and a log of shit on Pelosi's table from this?

The NPC hordes of BLM/Antifa when they get activated to "peacefully protest"

The "they were trying to stop an active shooter" claim is, as far as I know, purely an invention of the prosecution, it wasn't suggested beforehand and Gage, the only surviving attacker who's identity is known, didn't testify to that effect.

Gage is insanely luckily he didn't get charged with attempted murder, because unlike Kyle, he'd have a very hard time making a self defense claim, even if he did believe Kyle shot Rosenbaum on purpose, that does not give Gage a valid claim of self defense against Kyle.

Shit.

I stress what I said earlier: Make sure you have essentials, and check weapons and ammo if you have them, and make damn sure you are familiar with the self defense laws for what city and state you reside in. I cannot stress this enough.

Perhaps the left is spitting out their frustration, which is expected, but when they are calling to take war to the streets and burn it all down? One had better believe it, for the sake of caution if nothing else.

As someone who has a history degree, it has been somewhat fascinating to see history being made here. Kyle Rittenhouse is going to have pretty hefty tomes dedicated to him and the circumstances surrounding his trial. And this is just from the historical point of view, he'll practically be both landmark and cautionary tale in law.

Salt mine.

Biden can go drink hot lava. Election stealing child molesting fucker.

I'm going to echo what I've told others.

I don't think that Rittenhouse is by any stretch of the imagination, a hero. What he did was very foolish. Brave maybe, but very foolish. He is no hero. There was nothing heroic about what he did. He got himself isolated, exposed, and with very little idea of how to handle the situation he found himself in.

And by an even greater extent, Rittenhouse is no murderer. He was foolish to have driven across state lines to try and get involved, but he did not create the dangerous situation. It was thrust upon him. And from where things went south, Rittenhouse did everything right. He restrained himself in the use of deadly force to only targets that were actively attacking him--after he had chosen to disengage as safely as he could. His attackers were nothing more than common thugs who earned their reward.

Honestly, this shouldn't have even gone to trial. And yet we are better off for it. This shows us that yes, you can defend you and your own, you can do so and get a fair hearing. No matter how MSNBC tries to pressure jurors into convicting your ass. And that is why, I imagine, the left media is so furious. It will embolden people to use deadly force to protect themselves and others. As well it should.
