I am watching a live stream of people storming the US Government buildings...

I don't know what all will come of this, but I do know one thing for certain.

The corruption, incompetence, and contempt of elected officials and career bureaucrats, is what caused this. If they will refuse to follow and uphold the laws as they were elected and swore to do, this was the inevitable result. The only question was when it would happen, and how bad it would get.

All summer I was told this was what a peaceful protest looks like.

As much as these people deserve severe consequences for their actions, I think turning the steps of the capitol building into a bloodbath would be a serious mistake, legally and otherwise. Firing on a crowd that is, legally speaking, doing little more than trespassing is grossly disproportionate and not the sort of thing any legal system should allow.

I am totally fine with the FBI hunting down anyone that so much as looked like they wanted to cross past the barricades and throwing them in jail for as long as they can manage, but opening fire is a step past the line.

Given the number of people that view that flag as meaning little more than "screw The Man", I'm not really seeing the point of hyping how some random dude has the no-no flag with him, no matter what you view it as meaning (frankly, there's probably a bunch of people flying one just because they know it'll make people mad).
