If this is accurate and the bill goes through? Things are going to get ugly fast.

Pretty sure it'll be MUCH quicker than that. B/c it's legislative action, any suits go straight to DC's circuit if not outright to the SCOTUS. I have to check on that to be sure.
They don't go straight to SCOTUS, that's not how it works. If a state sues, that's original jurisdiction, and that goes straight to SCOTUS (if they accept it, which is rare).

Nor, for that matter, does it necessarily go straight to the DC circuit either. That is the case for Executive branch stuff like ATF final rules, etc, but not legislation. What would likely happen is a bunch of different parties would sue in their district courts, and those lawsuits would go up the chain like normal.

But also, there would be emergency injunctions asked for. And these would likely be granted, and run up the chain quite quickly, and stay in place while the lawsuit was happening, basically putting a hold on the government going through with its law until the lawsuit is done with.

... unfortunately Romney and Murkowski exist

Doesn't matter. Filibuster means they need 60 votes, and they don't have that, nor do they have the votes to get rid of the filibuster.

That's why passing this in the house was stupid, now every dem that voted for this doomed crap is on record for having done so, which will be used against them in the midterms....for exactly no gain whatsoever.

Someone turned in SIXTY TWO 'Ghost Guns' at a Houston Gun Buyback. Thank goodness they did, the streets are safer now with that box full of snub nosed death off the streets. Got a nice $150 Visa Gift Card for the due diligence PER GUN.

After this occurred at their first gun buyback, the Mayor's Office and Buyback Staff stated they will no longer be accepting 3D Printed Ghost Guns. :(
