Business & Finance Great Bud Light Embargo of 2023

Didn't they just do a drag show thing or something?
They had a venue with the name presented by yuengling. They didn't actually sponsor it. Also was it a drag show for adults or one for kids? 1st us degenerate but I don't care. 2nd is where I care about it.

Basically, the venue was one sponsored by Yuengling.
As in its name, nit that the actual brand is sponsoring it.

White House flasher Rose Montoya apparently stated that Trans influencers are garnering less marketing opportunities from corporations in the wake of the Bud Light and Target boycotts.

people are just getting tired of this shit.

Still going! Nothing outlasts the Bud Light Embargo!!!

"Data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ show that sales for Bud Light are down 28.5 percent year-over-year for the week ending June 17, according to the New York Post. That's a decline of about 2 percentage points from the week ending June 10, when sales dropped 26.8 percent, Bump Williams's data show."
And their other brands are losing ground as well...

"Anheuser-Busch's other brands, including Budweiser and Michelob Ultra, have also suffered year-over-year losses. Budweiser's sales are down 12.3 percent, Busch Light is down 8.1 percent, and Michelob Ultra is down 4 percent, according to Bump Williams and Nielsen IQ."

Bud Light don't care. They know they're better than you.

"Bud Light Canada has been a proud partner of Pride Toronto for the last 10 years. This year, we're commemorating this milestone with Pride Toronto by featuring them on our can design, as well as continuing as the official beer sponsor of the festival," Bud Light's Canadian website says. "As a brand, Bud Light Canada is excited to once again celebrate and support the LGBTQIA2S+ community through Pride Toronto's annual pride celebration and parade."

I can definitely agree with the 1st part of your statement. They should definitely suffer the consequences of their stupidity. I will concede that your second point may be accurate.

This really is going to be a PR disaster for the ages. Right up there with 'why is your jewellery so cheap? Because it's shit.'
Read about Gerald Ratner's gaffe in school. He only blames himself for that.

you know what at least the guy was honest about his jwellery, and let his customers decide on merit.
He said the quiet part out loud. Jewelry is 99% hype, marketing, and markup.

There's an 1884 short story - The Necklace - where a gal of modest means borrows a diamond necklace from a friend. She then loses it. Instead of fessing up she and her husband borrorow ruinous amounts of money to buy a replacement. Years later she runs into her friend. The friend asks "What happened?" because she's now destitute and finally fesses up. That's when she's told that it was costume jewelry worth maybe 50FRF (about €225 today).
