Yeah. I know it's a joke that the French riot all the time, but the intensity and heat of these protests makes me think this isn't just going o be another phase but another "drag them out and lynch the current government in the streets" Republic-ender we've seen from history.

I mean, fuck, they had Macron altered to look like Hitler on a billboard. I also find it darkly amusing that it's the fucking French who are standing up to Western government tyranny now (in the context that governments are using COVID to try to have a Chinese-like control over its people).

Hey, if France ends up leading the countercharge against virus/vax mandates and Woke shit, we stand a better chance of salvaging Western civ in our lifetimes than if we try to count on the US public for the same response.

Unless you're deeply involved with French politics and culture, it's probably impossible to know. Once the political violence starts, it'll be chaos, and hard to tell when it'll stop.
