It's worth pointing out he never said it. He implied it was elites and media, and discount Trotsky immediately claimed it was anti-Semitism and went nuclear saying the classic line "SHUT IT DOWN!" from my point of view it sounds more like the general was implying discount Trotsky and his lefty intelligentsia were the elites, not Jews directly. But now he went and painted a target on himself and other Jews.
It's just another sign of bad things to come.

Antisemitic memes are almost universally cherry-picked bullshit, but I know even Israelis that think the Jews (meaning in their case the specific tribe of Judah) are a bunch of elitist assholes. The whole "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize" thing is an intellectually dishonest narrative (insert joke about the shadow cabal of terminally ill children running the world here), but fuck me if it can't be compelling at times. It's become a (cherry-picked) meme about how many anti-white articles are written by people with last names ending in -berg or -stein and then you have incidents like this where any insult or criticism of a Jewish person is assumed to be antisemitic. It's doing the exact opposite of suppressing antisemitism, it's inflaming it as people get angry at the protected class.
I'm worried that as the living memory of the Holocaust fades the left-wing hatred of Israel and the right-wing loathing of intellectual elites will combine to give us a new round of the world's favorite hobby. And I hate that I can understand why.

Yeah. I can say from personal experience that the only thing, so far, which threatened to make me the antisemite were various leftists etc. claiming that everything they disagreed with was antisemitism. Such as Ivo Goldstein claiming that research into post-war Communist camp in Jasenovac was antisemitism, or that we are having "Ustashization" of society when in fact we are still being ruled by the Communist elites.
It does look like Madame Guillotine is getting thirsty again. I consider that a good thing as no politican should be allowed to believe themselves above laws and consequences.

Oh, definitely. But I don't think it ever was about the vaccine: rather, it is government flexing its muscle and seeing how far it can go before people push back. It is about control, not the virus.
I mean, just look at how Croatian government behaves with its "anti-COVID measures"...
France is currently on its 5th republic, if it gets toppled which is very possible it will be on its 6th one.
Or maybe it will bring back the monarchy again hard to tell point is French leaders have a bad habit of not listening and being inflexible until one day their removed by force. Other countries also have this problem but the french tend to have it worse then most.
