That was after the guy faked a medical emergency, hit the cops, and ran away. He has by that point hit the cops multiple times.
Thus it was less about justice for the children, and more that cops hate it when people hit them and make them run.
Also according to people who speak italian who translated the dialog on the video, the cops are yelling at him to lie down and he just won't. You even see the part where he grabs unto the fence to prevent the cops from pushing him to the ground so they could cuff him
And yea, I watched the video, it is so damn tame.

Likely. They hate kiddie fuckers and animal abusers with a passion. They're universal constants in any prison, be it in the States, the UK, or there in good ol' classic Italia.
As soon as his crimes become known, he'll have a target on his back bigger than a woman suddenly having her period on a white, leather couch.
Men-in-dresses being sent to women's prisons are threats to the women there -- and I don't just mean the hardcore prisoners in there for things like murder, but those in for smaller crimes like shoplifting, tax evasion, et cetera, too. Hell, even the guards may be at risk.
It's happened in the States, mostly in states like California -- pregnant guards and inmates from "female" prisoners, and the deeds done weren't always consensual on one party's end, either (I'll let you guess which one).
No one deserves the threat and very real possibility of sexual assault.
It's hilarious that JKR, as Left as she is, was completely correct: women are being pushed out of women's spaces by men in dresses -- even goddamn prisons, lol. But, nope -- "transphobic".
