You are forgetting two key things here.
First, that the U.S. army got bogged down, suffered casualties and ran away from 20 year mid eastern commitments.
And that the U.S. government has been mistreating veterans systematically.

The smarter ones will see which way the wind is blowing and throw in their lot with the right/populist forces because they would have grown sick and tired of the Swamp devouring them and destroying the surrounding country's finances and society.

I replied to a comment about how in the instance of a civil war, that large parts of the military would defect, and I used real life, recent examples, as to why the vast majority of them would follow orders, because their allegiance to their fellow soldiers and leadership far surpasses any other allegiances they may have.

And the point there, was that as much fucked up stuff that the left is doing, like raiding political opponents, going the violent route is not the answer, and plays into their hands, and we will not win.

We win the culture war by building a robust culture. By doing things like Trump is trying to do, with Truth social. We win by doing things like Elon did by attempting to buy twitter. We do things like the Daily Wire is doing..who went from basically just being Ben Shaprio's podcast to an entire news network, a network with stand up comedy, movies, education and philosophy lessons, etc.

It's not a conspiracy theory to think that the military will not be there to defend us if this goes violent. We have seen what sides the leaders will take, and the rank and file will follow the leaders.

I used to think the same as your second paragraph states. Then I watched the police in 2020. I watched the national guard occupy the Capital for months. I watched the military start purges of "extremists" and begin woke indoctrination amongst the troops.

It's a matter of perspective. I don't think, if it goes that far, itll be viewed as a genocide against innocent people, but rather a war to be fought against an enemy insurrection. And the military members will mostly fall in line with their leaders.

I'm tired of the talk of civil war, too. I don't think it'll go that far, and if it does, the government is too entrenched and too powerful, with a strong media backing, that it would not go well.
