Election 2020 Election 2020: It's (almost) over! (maybe...possibly...ahh who are we kidding, it's 2020!)

Honestly, I keep seeing people say this. That and I am "demoralized."

Really though, who gives a fuck about hope? Fuck hope. As if that matters in any way. Having hope or not isn't going to change the outcome. It just sets you up for disappointment when it doesn't happen.

The outcome looks dismal. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't look good. Having that opinion is not going to change the outcome.

I'm just accepting that now, instead of in a few weeks.

My hopes will not be raised again after that nothingburger of a press conference last week. It seemed good at the time, I got excited... but they didn't really present anything damning enough to change anything.

Just as I won't flail in despair, I will likewise not run victory laps until something major happens. Right now, it's looking like president Biden is our future. That's just where we are.
And if you sit there thinking "There is nothing so far might as well give in." Is just what they want. Lose faith and hope in Trump and cope/accept Biden and that way Trump loses support and he concedes.

That is what makes this different. Having hope and faith is what matters here. Dont think it will, but hope it will. Always hope for the best
It's not really relevant if we have hope or not. Nothing we say or do here is going to influence Trump's struggle to prove election fraud in any way.
I know, but if someone loses faith within themselves and what is going on, they start to accept what is pushed down their throats don't we become what we critisice? Those that give in when they shouldn't?

I get it, we don't have much right now. That hurts, but I am with @Sailor.X and I think we all should be. At least in having faith. If Trump presented early and we celebrate, only to find out it ruined his case because he did not have all he needed? Wouldnt that be worse?

I'm just firmly convinced massive election fraud happened.

Now it's just waiting to see if the dems get away with it or not.

I'm kinda annoyed with them in any case. They've proven they don't care about the country AT ALL and are only interested in ruling it... whatever rules or norms they have to break to do so.

What difference does it make in the outcome, if I accept it now, vs scream online about it in a few weeks? The results will still be the same.

It's out of my control. I'm going to just try not to stress about it. What will happen, will happen.

This still leaves the option to be very happy if Trump pulls this off and corrects for the fraud. I just don't see it happening.

Focusing on the election fraud is kind of pointless anyway for us randos. You can't affect things one way or the other, and Trump's ego will cause him to pursue legal action for as long as he thinks doing so is viable no matter what. Better to focus your efforts on the runoff Senate elections in Georgia.

And you base this on what exactly? because I've heard a lot about how egotistical Trump is over the last 5 years and very little of it had any substance.

So any ballots outside could be considered invalid?
Eh, not an expert but that would be kinda iffy. Like if you're going to accuse the counters of sabotage not much of a stretch for a counter that the ballots could be shifted.

Like there is a reason that when enough doibt on the validity of the vote can be brought forward it goes to the legislature. Its kinda hard to validate a vote thats been made unvalidatable.

If they are that is a problem. Ballets are supposed to be put back into their envelopes after being counted specifically for the purposes of audits.

I'm afraid that isn't true in Georgia. That is half the reason you have an inner and outer envelope when you submit them. They verify the signature and then place the vote into a secured box to be counted later. That outer envelope isn't retained by law and not officially part of the auditing process as defined by law.
