America, we need to have a serious talk. WTF is this 3rd World bullshit I'm seeing here?
That seems to be an Ohio thing. Down here in SC we have normal run of the mill train tracks.

That's a very sweeping claim. Care to support it?
I have literally never seen railroad tracks like that anywhere here in America. Even abandoned lines that no longer run don't look like that.
Not that I can't believe it's that bad in some places, it honestly just makes seeing something like that all the worse.
What the hell?
Not even the tracks in ths majority of ohio are like this. Even old abandoned ones are in better condition. Not sure where this is, but the majority of our tracks are just normal. That seems to be an Ohio thing. Down here in SC we have normal run of the mill train tracks.
I know JP Morgan and Blackrock are two of them, don't remember the others.Guess who the 4 largest shareholders of the Norfolk Southern Railway are? A company that has extensively lobbied to reduce safety and labour regulations? Anyone? Anyone?

But that explains a lot
Why would NOAA shutdown a site tracking the particulates from the plume?

True, but it also LOOKS BAD. Which is good b/c it might help bring consequences for those who enabled this to happen.Them blocking this is bad, but things spreading that wide is actually good.
Once it gets into the air, dispersion is the only way for it to become safe. Concentration is how you get debilitating or lethal doses.
Of course, most politicians probably have no clue about that.
What it does, is demonstrates how fucking much of this shit was released, which rightfully makes those responsible look REALLY BAD, which is why everyone is trying to sweep it under the rug.Them blocking this is bad, but things spreading that wide is actually good.

The problem is, the nastiest stuff is heavier than air, and the lingering effects of...well, lets not mince words here, I think the phosgene gas exposure (and exposure of other bits of nastiness) was a lot wider and lot more severe than the railroad, gov, or media want known. Particularly with the maintenance issues coming to light about the train, given it broke down just days beforre and workers were worried about the length/weight of the train.Them blocking this is bad, but things spreading that wide is actually good.
