Anyone else in the radius of this Ohio incident get overwhelmed with the smell of skunk this morning?

It was so bad around 1-5 am, I was sure a skunk sprayed outside my window, which was open.

This tracks - there are a lot of skunks around my house.

But it was so strong it woke me up and made my throat and nose burn.

And what got really weird is like 6 other people told me skunks sprayed by their house last night too.

Which makes me wonder, was I really smelling skunks, or getting poisoned?

No idea, but from what little I understand, I'm not sure how much longer you'll want to be there for.

Also, just because it's relevant and dovetails into your question somewhat:

And a 9th friend just reported this to me.

We are well beyond coincidence territory. Something made pockets Northeast Ohio smell like particularly putrit skunks at 1-5am last night.
I'm speaking with a guy in the area, nothing like that that they've smelled.

Do the people who smelled this share a drainage or water system?

Nope, everyone is scattered around, some close to the PA border and some as far west as the medina/summit county border, about as far south as Canton and up to around Cleveland.

Basically a good chunk of NEO, 9 people scattered around here have reported the same.

Myself and another both live in valleys, so that could play a role. Not sure on the others, didn't get to ask them.

Can you get out of the area?
I'd love to, but unable to get away from work. If that smells happens again, I'm probably going to evacuate to somewhere with higher elevation that isn't a valley though. Probably crash at my parent's place or something.

What's more important? You're work or your health? I'd at least go and get a full physical and get it notorized.

This right here.

Chemical poisoning on this scale is no joke, saw it up close in Tucuman some years back.

Get out, get your pets out and get your people out. Also run even bottled water through filters because plastic absorbs
