I have a hard time believing that the masses will agree to just become prey to criminals without a police force (I'd like to see a trembling 5'3'' social worker try to stop a heavily drugged gang, no matter of which ethnicity, from doing whatever the fuck they feel like doing at that moment. She'd be lucky if she can avoid being raped). I can't possibly believe anyone will go for it. There would be mass riots, this time opposing the police abolition measures.
I simply can't imagine any other reality. A city where peaceful people are at the complete and utter mercy of violent people with the state just standing by, in America no less, not in an African country. At the very least the democrats would get destroyed in any election for the next decade if they dared to try something like this.
