The thing I don’t get is where are they getting the manpower I know they are converting people but it should still take time to actually train them to be combat ready…

I hope we find those Black Steel bases soon. We can’t keep taking these kind of casualties without the ability to hit back.

At this point it might be a good idea to try to enlist the aid of the Bourbons against the Black Steel.
They can't, I brought it up in Discord and LordSunhawk's answer was that they literally couldn't help with the battle due to not having the range in their warships. And speaking of, The Bourbon's are in fact building warships as well but again their limited mobility prevents them from helping us for the most part.

Its why I am now giving serious thought to offering to sell the Bourbons our standard Jump Core tech. Not the jump core tech we are using now but Standard Jump Core tech you would find in the Inner Sphere. right now GR is the literal Bulwark that the BS is crashing against and its only going to get worse now that the previous bulwark has been obliterated.

Welp, I've never thought I'd say this...but we need the french. Let's prepare a draft to get them in on our alliance.

Holy sheit ... that was some serious amount of metal in play there! o_O

But ... this gotta seriously have cut down the amount of forces the Black Steel can field, I mean, I really, really, really doubt that they have the production capabilities to replace all this in a short time frame ...

No. The French are quite clearly hiding things from us -- at minimum, we need to figure out who they're at war with, because the level to which they're trying to conceal that strongly suggests they're in the wrong and they know it.

We shouldn't risk aiding what may well be the equivalent of House Amaris.

Every Star Polity is going to be hiding things from us, that's the nature of politics. That doesn't mean they're automatically evil. I will agree that a certain amount of caution is needed, but we need allies more. I'm willing to ignore a few hairballs to survive.

I say we just ignore the niceties of politics and just invite the head Bourb to a meeting on Griffing or a closer site like Stahlfurt. We can have lunch and kick out all the aides n' belly-achers so the two 'heads-of-the-houses' can chat. Setup side lunches with all the counterparts...General to General, Admiral to Admiral, Chef to Chef, and just see how well we can get along. Maybe have a plain conversation even.

We nearly voted to take aggressive actions against our own allies for "stealing" relatively minor tech from us via aggressive battlefield salvage, but you want to outright give one of the two most important techs we have to a hostile faction.

*facepalm*

I will never understand y'all.

@ShadowArxxy he's looking at the threat of the BS and wanting to put some of that burden on another power so we don't have to bear so much of it.

I get that. It's a short term answer that will leave much greater problems for us in the long term.

I would hardly call the Space French a 'hostile faction's. I mean, we're certainly not FRIENDS, but that's the thing I'd like to change. We just need to do more espionage to find the skeletons in their closet.

Exactly. And from a player perspective, I want us to have problems to solve.
I just caught up on this quest. Can somebody send me a link for the discord server?
There should be a thread mark with it.

Sure, but jumping from partial trade with tarriff's to, "Here, have free and awesome stuff that also happens to be a Strategic threat to US!" is a bit much.

That's why I recommended a lunch time summit. Might help us learn more about them, and potentially deepen our ties with the Bourbs.
