Alternatively, he could be a Champion of Chaos who's a real threat to Abaddon's status as top dog. Not sure which God he'd favor, though besides Khorne (warmongering and military leadership), I feel like Chaos Undivided would make a good fit for 40K Vader.

I like it - especially when Astartes do not even try to block rebel schots,becouse they knew that it do nothing anyway.
And,it is funny how rebels play here IG role,but without bayonets.

If anything, it looks to me like Vader's troops didn't even bother with blasters this time.

Just took Rebel fire and hacked them to bits with their chainswords and a casual brutality that'd give even a Mandalorian Neo-Crusader pause.
