China ChiCom News Thread

Oh no Jennifer Zeng left China because she committed the horrifying crime of practicing Fulan Gong two decades ago. Now she's a Human Rights activist and posts about how wonky the Peoples Republic of West Taiwan is.
Ahh OK then. Sorry she is a dead ringer for a CGTN news caster that was popular until she got purged herself for endorsing the wrong CCP candidate. I promise I'm not being racist, but I find it hard to tell mainland Chinese women apart. They all tend to wear the same social credit approved hair, makeup style and clothing scheme.

Just like in all communist countries people will don't care. They'll litter, piss on the streets, let things break, fuck over everyone else as long as it doesn't affect them personally.
Tragic, isn’t it? Asian societies that never had to deal with communism are such happier, cleaner, places that I can only believe communism gives a society brain damage.

China is stepping into pile of bullshit is the depth of which it can't imagine.
Let's see what happens. Regardless the outcome, be positive and negative, it is interesting to see that seemingly the US let it even happen in the first place.

Then again Biden has dementia potentially so I am not surprised too much. Wouldn't surprise me if one of his caretakers is a Sinophile.

'US power and prestige declines when there's a Democrat in the White House, round X.'

Frustrating, but ultimately predictable and expected.

Usually.

But, China is trying this because it wants to usurp the US.
It can't, because this will just make a burden on them in the future

Which he should be convicted for as a traitor, even after his death.

We should have never open up the CCP, we should have listen to MacArthur and dealt with Mao and the CCP while we had the nuclear advantage.
It was a clever move at the time...
However, the caveat of its cleverness would be to do a "one down, one to go" turnaround the moment Soviet Union felt.

Yeah, no, it wasn't clever, it was a stupid, short sighted move that is going to fuck generations of people, because the CCP is an enemy of humanity, just like Russia is.

Should have nuked both into the stone age while we had the advantage,

Wonder how many of ex-soviet states are now questioning their ambassadors whether they should recognize Taiwan instead, if China doesn't recognize their independence anyway.

Both are, which is why playing them against each other was clever. But sometime in middle of the play, with a helping of lobby money, the fact that they are still enemies was forgotten regarding one.

Yeah, being able to offshore jobs to places OSHA, the EPA, and union contracts do not have jurisdiction was rather profitable for some people in the US.

And as much as we tried to 'play' them off each other, all we did was make it so both could mess with the west easier and more in depth.

Should have nuked both Stalin and Mao while we had the advantage.

Pure stupid take. You don't get to decide who is an enemy and who is an ally. If the president wants an alliance with China, or Russia, and hostile relationship with I don't know Canada he gets that. Unless he gets impeached understand this is a Republic not a democracy, just because you want war with someone means nothing. China has not invaded America so no it's not treason as we are not fighting them or at war with them. They are a threat to Taiwan which sucks for Taiwan but I don't really care. We do have an alliance with Korea and Japan though and I like them more than modern China so if they fuck with them then we should defend them.

Honestly I feel bad for the chinese, communism was pretty fucking horrible for the people living through it and it destroyed so much of their culture, so much of their history and traditions and their people. But I don't think the CCP is forever and I hope the next regime is much nicer to them.

My guess is that when the CCP falls China will be torn apart, probably along similar lines as during the Warlord period. You can cut China up along a few different lines, which will probably be how things break up.

This map is out of date, but you can see that Tibet and Xinjiang are clearly demarcated, and that Inner Mongolia will probably get absorbed by Mongolia.

Hopefully it will be similar to the end of the USSR for the most part peaceful and the Chinese move to something that isn't godless communism. It won't be democracy but I don't care.

Umm we had a thread talking about the US nuking rebels, and the Chinese have seen how modern Russia is struggling to regain territories it lost when the Soviet Union fell. Why do you think they would tolerate any secession?

I'm saying that if the CCP loses power there will be a break up, as the different regions won't acknowledge the legitimacy of one anther. If you are asking why they won't just bomb and attack one another, I don't have an answer for you, they very well might. However, I find it difficult to believe that any faction in China would be capable of occupying and controlling other regions, if those regions chose to be rebellious.

Something else to consider, is that the dissolution of the CCP would be the single greatest humanitarian crisis in living memory. Billions of people would be suffering from starvation and thirst. China is already a net importer of food, a lot of their infrastructure is poorly built enough that it requires constant maintenance (tofu dreg projects).
