Yeah, no; the odds that this is an actual "explosive device" is basically nil. More likely, someone just left something in the back seat of their car, and the cops are blowing this way out of proportion; either because they're panicked, or because they're putting on a show for political/budgetary reasons. I remember in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, cops everywhere started treating everything like it could be an "explosive device"; there was numerous videos floating around back then of them remotely blowing up things like children's toys, household appliances, luggage, and anything else they could get their hands on. None of them turned out to be bombs, and I'm expecting the same thing here; maybe I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt it.
