That, and from 1975-2015 it was illegal to export American crude oil without a permit.

That's 40 years of "no American crude oil exports for you". That's also 40 years of the US only exporting refined petroleum products. Those are more expensive than crude oil.

Basically: Why should we bother with using our oil when we can use yours instead?

Ukraine is of no value to us. Strategic, tactical, economic, etc… The only people who benefit from a war there, and the flag draped coffins they can parade in front of the media, are the political and military elite that are desperately looking for something to distract us from their incompetence.

Yes, because China will be able to conquer and hold all of SEA and Russia has the manpower to fight down and hold all of Europe.

If Russia was threatening Poland or the Western Europeans, my opinion might be different. Even though i think Western Europe is entirely deserving of the Russian boot heel, there’s at least some economic concerns at play there. Ukraine isn’t worth dying over, or potentially setting of an actual nuclear conflict.

I actually support war against China over Taiwan, because again there’s actual strategic and economic concerns there. One can hold different positions in different situations. You understand that, right?

The point I am getting at, Russia Is going to be able to strngehold Qestern Europe, and could eventually have coups I any country with Russian ethnic people. Expanding thoer borders forever more.
The worst show3d they will not do anything.

China now sees we won't do shit and take Taiwan, then until the US gets Semiconductor plants up, China would be the main, and holds the market, and then also controls the waters if South East Asia.

But like most people you seem to focus on the 1st order of effects not the 2nd or third

You seem to be thinking that if we fight the Russians we won't have to fight the Chinese. When in fact the opposite is true. The Chinese know that the US can't fight a two front war anymore, partially due to no longer being able to sustain it, and partially because the Europeans have no capabilities and so we would be left holding the bag. If we waste our resources defending Ukraine which doesn't have resources worth defending, China will take that opportunity to seize the territory they want, and fortify their artificial islands so we can't get into their territory at all.

China sees that we are NOT going to do shit to Russia, and that basically means we wont do shit to them.
We can fight a two front war. There is definently that capability, because almost like Navy and Marines would be focused on them ANYWAY, while Army deals with Europe

No we can't during the cold War we could, that was the doctrine and the military was built around that. Due to several factors including cutbacks due to us now being broke refocusing on things like terrorism we don't have that capability anymore. And given how shattered Americans faith in government espescially since we now see the west doing the exact things they freak out about russia and even China doing is dont expect a mass wave of recruitment either if you somehow thought they would wait for us to build our military back up to that level.

The US can fight a multi-front war beacuse "a rifle behind every blade of grass" is not only an exaggeration but also a description of just how heavily armed US civilians are.

You grab 100 random Americans and chances are there will be about 7 privately owned firerarms for every man between the ages of 18 and 45.

Capitol Police request National Guard as trucker convoy expected for State of the Union

The Department of Defense is considering a request from U.S. Capitol Police and the Washington, D.C., government to have the National Guard help respond to an expected truck convoy aimed at disrupting traffic around the Capitol ahead of the March 1 State of the Union.

"Those agencies have asked for National Guard personnel to provide support at traffic control points in and around the district to help ... address potential challenges stemming from possible disruptions at key traffic arteries," Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said in a statement. Kirby said no decision had been made as to whether to provide the support.

Capitol Police and the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency did not immediately return requests for comment Tuesday.
