THe Pinguins are funny :)
I also was amused by the Twilight Eclipse playthrough videos.
The Halfling Barbarians also were a hoot.
Now am giggling over Carbot flics.

I'm confused by ESL (effective spellcasting level).
My Bard6/Cleric2 Tav seems to be ESL lvl 8 - i.e. 2 lvl4 Spell Slots - which I understand, as both classes are Full Casters.
But I'm baffled by my Gale - Wizard7/Ranger1 - and apparently ESL lvl7 - which I deduct from his single lvl4 SS.
As Ranger is a Half Caster, for ESL calculations their level is divided by two and rounded down - so, it is rounded down to zero?

BTW - Gale simple LOVES his 21 AC :p (HA*+Shield+Flail of Defence)

* Ranger Knight subclass

ADDED LATER:
Hmm, maybe it is the 7,5 - from 7 levels of Wizard and 0,5 from the single lvl in Ranger - which gets rounded down?

BG3 works quite well, I agree.
Alhough in novel and different ways after every patch and hotfix ...

I decided to try Honour Mode.
This is Hard with kinks - one save only, cannot reload, etc.
At my first attempt I was dead the moment I set foot on the beach - I was one-shotted :) by a character known for failing most of her attack rolls - Shadowheart (in my headcanon Tav identified the local Maleficia Darkness Cruella Shadowheart as a Sharran - a kill-on-sight offence in most jurisdictions).

I like this difficulty level, so different from my sloppy, finesse of a five year old (according to irreverent offspring :)), save scumming manner. So much more meaningful!
When a fight is going badly - or am having a "we need to talk" sort of conversation - it is squeeky bum time*!
Three times already I had to use my last (wo)man standing to bravely run away! run away! from a fight to camp to revive the rest of the party. Withers has made well over 2k on me ...

BTW - the Secret Terrorist Base Gityanki Creche is an unbelivable XP goldmine! The pushover drunk Kobolds were worth c.1200 points!

Now, this game does not use a single server, right? If so can game progress be backed up in case something goes wrong?

Yes Grandpa that is correct. The game save files are on your PC or Console.

You can't access the Server that mirrors all of your Hard Drive activity and information unless your GS-12 or higher with corresponding intelligence clearance through the NSA Metadata Harvesting Reservoir at the Fort Meade Adjunct facility located within the Yucca Mountain Complex. Temporary clearance can only be granted from the onsite Information Intake Officer on Duty anyway so you don't even need to worry about it.

Domt even get started on tje amount if courses one has to take just to get access once they get inside.
You have about a month where you just sit and do courses to allow you to even work.

Bureaucracy at its finest

Only partial /s.
Mainly about what Husky mentions.
The courses part is real and a pain

For my next BG3 campaign I want to follow a playthrough to discover if there is a way to overlevel in Act 1.

After exploring the beach and catacombs you reach lvl3 at the Druidville gate.
Talking and not fighting - Gityanki extermination squad, Goblintown - gets you very close to lvl4. And then everything becomes relatively easy.
If you count the Mounatin Pass as Act 1 you enter the Shadowlands on the cusp of lvl7.

Dude even Story-focused mode feels hard as fuck.

I am very tempted to make a mod with a 1 hp enemy or npc that gives tons of XP.

It's the learning curve :)
I got regulary TPKed at the beginning. Now, with save scumming, I get to midway of Act 2 with a three strong party on Tactician.
You can do it!

There is a gazillion of little things to learn - like that drinking a Health Potion ends the Burning Condition - i.e. if you begin your turn on a urning surface and on fire, move out, drink a potion and then - as the Nice Old Lady selling lotions and potions would say - you are right as rain. You know which one - the one that has three STR21 potions to sell each day (there are people whose gameplay is built around those potions as they are OP).
After shooting switch to melee weapopn - otherwise no attack of opportunity.
Use Char wth highest CHA to buy and sell.
Use Magic Missile to 100% hit and kill off enemies at 1-3 HP yet still capable of dishing out damage like a fully operational battlestation.

Also, sleep is way OP, as are a few other spells without saves. Hold person and Hold monster are also great.

Basically, be aware of the action economy: your goal isn't to kill the enemy team. But reduce their actions to 0. So generally kill the weaker mobs first, then the stronger ones. They're just as powerful at 1hp as they are at full health.

Also, be aware of environmental damage like dropping flaming braizers, barrels, lightning on water, etc.

Thanks for the advice @Abhorsen I still think I am going to make my mod regardless 🤣 I am actually thinking of making a mod that changes levelling up in the style of "Fallout 3", where you can level up traits and what not every level.
It would probably make anything a cakewalk but would like to try it nevertheless.
The only things I modded was with the portraits of This War Of Mine and EU4 countries for my alternate history scenarios (the highlight of that was an actually functional Damascene empire and a four island kingdom of Sardinia,Malta, Corsica and Sicily accompanied by a Norman-led Naples which owned Lybya, Tunisia as well and a Ruthenian Empire led by the Georgian/Armenian Bagrationi dynasty) so I would like to try it.

don't forget there are environmental kills as well. Isaac newton isn't just a deadly son of a bitch in space. many things can push and there is even the shove action. for all that the rogue is an asshole he does do loads of damage if you bring him along and set him up for the stealth kills. Buffs and debuffs are really strong as well. Save or be crippled is pretty great and using those I was able to steal that magic sword off of the demon on the nautilus. you can change around shadowhearts spells before you go into that fight if you don't have a buff spell to throw on that illithid fighting him. Gith Girl makes good use of the sword if you can't.

I shoved quite a few bosses out of frustation to end the fights.

Minthara ABOVE all.

By the way where I can find this many explosive barrels in ACT 3 ?
