It's a big deal, because it's the best the Russians have meaningfully available, and if their best isn't doing very well...
To be honest, any tank hit from that range on the side is going to be toasted. What is strange is that the T-90 'let' the T-64(?) get to that position.

You mean the armor advances that were supported by utterly crushing air superiority, something that the Ukrainians definitely do not have?

This is functionally irrelevant to comparing the current in-field performance of Leopards and Abrams vs T-XXs.

Well, on an operational level, have they made a difference over the t-64 tanks Ukraine uses?

OK, for those of us without 30 free minutes....TLDW that for us please.
-better crew comforts and safety
-more accurate gun
-better agility due to better gearbox not fucking up reversing like in many eastern tanks
-night optics being so much better that they rarely operate outside of darkness to make full use of this advantage
