Armchair General's DonbAss Derailed Discussion Thread (Topics Include History, Traps, and the Ongoing Slavic Civil War plus much much more)

Yes, journalists are protected, but...
Is impersonating journalists specifically forbidden?
For comparison, Hague Regulations specifically forbid improper use of symbols recognized for use by medics.
They are masquerading as a protected class, so I am pretty sure the spirit of the law is broken.
Note the wording,
provided they play no part in the hostilities.
For one, they will be making it less likely for the other side to care about the safety of the press.

But, you have shown yourself to be a massive Uki shill, so I doubt you give a shit, even if the letter of the law was broken.

I am curious, are commie block walls actually built to stop bullets?
It is usually a prefab, internally hollow concrete pannel and some steel, so maybe?
Probably depends on the caliber, .50 cal might go through.

So all militaries that bring embedded reporters to the frontline in the vehicle as armed security of some sort are war criminals?

Secondly, as i said, not unusual for press to go around warzones with their own or even locally sourced armed security, so it could also be that.

Well... Unless you think Gun's are made with the barrel a solid structure that picture isn't really an armed person...

Because there's nothing there?

It's rather obvious on close up that's a stand or mic pole of some sort, not a gun.

The AKM mic pole is capable of turning sound into bullets and firing 600 of them per minute in all directions.

It was one of the secret weapons developed by the Soviets in 1951 and it was tested in the Korean and Vietnam War.

The results were so devastating that USA threatened nuclear war over it's continued deployment.

That is the barrel of a ak.
No, that is the muzzle of an AK.

Not the barrel you crayon muncher!

Because this is a muzzle, with a muzzle device. Not a barrel with a barrel device.

By the Immortal Gods of the Sith, what the shit do they teach you in the US military these days?

I'm a total civie and I know more about small arms and urban warfare tactics from reading Cold War or Iraq War era US military manuals and guerrilla warfare manuals than you do from whatever woke-ass training course you goombahs have to take these days.

To be fair does the modern press count as journalists, i feel propagandist is more accurate.

Actually, Zachowon is correct. It IS a barrel of what one can presume is an AK rifle, possibly an AK74 or derivative judging by the design of the muzzle brake which is threaded onto it.

Agree or disagree with him, at least he does actually “walk the walk”, and not just “talk the talk”, which you seem to do.

And you may want to be careful about slinging around ethnic slurs like “goombah”, especially at other members of this forum.

What was shown was clearly the muzzle of the AK.

But I digress.

You can call it whatever you want.

Spelling mistake.

I was typing "goomba"

Like this kind:

Well, India is making its bed, it seems. Let's see how that works out with them when it comes to China.
They got it at a discount too with a rupee ruble exchange too. This relationship is just a continuance of what started from Khrushchev especially when the Indo Pakistani war started.
