Getting rid of power alone doesn't really do much other than cause losses in money and a mild amount of chaos. You forget Bill Gates and co buying up as much farmland as possible.

The Dems may not live in rural areas much, but they still own a lot of land in them via other means.

The Dems own the country in every way that matters, and are not looking to stop or lose power any time soon; hope of a Red Wave when the ballot box isn't secure is pure cope.

The only GOP politicans who get elected are ones the Uniparty will allow to be elected as controlled opposition, or are in districts too red to make cheating easily pulled off.

See, the thing is, in a 'civil war' that goes close to the ACW in modern times, control over nukes is going to be vital to actually getting any deterrent against the corrupt powers in DC or bargaining chips for recognition internationally. Which is also why the powers in DC would use nukes on their own people, to keep any 'rebels' from getting said deterrent or keeping it intact.
