Ok, let’s try this again. With the benefit of hindsight and whiskey not making me as aggressive, I can see that I was a little more combative than I should have been and it took away from the main thrust of my argument and I indulged a little to much in hyperbole.
So let me recenter the argument I was actually making.
I do not think that the majority of the younger generations, who would be the ones called up in the event of a draft, have the stomach, natural inclination, or even the fitness to fight in any war. Whether that be in the Middle East or China, it doesn’t really matter to that analysis.
I’d also argue that, outside an obvious case of self defense, the US Federal Government does not deserve the support of those generations.
In this argument, I consider the Federal government as a separate entity to the platonic ideal of the US as a nation.
If there was a government in place that actually upheld the constitution and its ideals and actually cared about its own citizens as much as they care about illegals, that actually upheld the rule of law, that truly cared about our rights and Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness…
I’d sign up in a heartbeat and fight and die for that any day of the week.
That is not a government that we are currently living under and I refuse to die to uphold the establishment and their parasitic cronies in the deep state.
If that makes me a bad citizen or person in other peoples eyes well, guess I can’t do anything about that.
I do apologize to
@Vyor and
@Lord Sovereign for being overly aggressive and crass in my argument. Some of the things I said were uncalled for, so sorry.
