    In no shocker, United States Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) is launching his reelection campaign for 4th term in the United States Senate in 2024. I should note that Casey has won 6 statewide elections & his recent reelection victory in 2018 resulted in Casey winning by double digits:
    1996 PA Auditor General: Won
    2000 PA Auditor General: Won
    2002 Dem Primary for PA Governor: Lost
    2004 PA State Treasurer: Won
    2006 PA United States Senator: Won
    2012 PA United States Senator: Won
    2018 PA United States Senator: Won

    depends on if people show up to the primary. while they might not be able to push a new minority leader who is Maga getting a new Senator in who is? that is doable. Turtle man was pretty meh overall. hope he retires and is comfortable so we can get someone better in.

    Im not quite as judemental about Connel.

    Man did a good job in blocking the dems from having complete control over the courts and he got the right the supreme court. The problem was that there was a political realinmnet and he's just not suited to the much uglier and meaner world we live in. In god father tearms he was a good peacetime concilary but now its a time of political warfare where the left debanks, deplatforms and puts their poltiical enemies into prison on dubious terms.

    You need to be a lot more agressive and frankly meaner just to survive in that world.

    I honor the good he did but he's not suited for the long march ahead.

    There was a pretty big understanding with Pelosi that her job was to get california a bail out when our economy finally ran off the cliff full speed. After Covid when there was an excuse and the democrats held all of the cards was the moment to strike. Blame all of our debt on the coof, get our debt bailed out by the public walk away a hero.

    She fucked it up by letting shit get personal putting her grudges above doing her stated job and this was something that very powerful people wanted her to do.

    There is a reason why she got property all the way on the other side of the continent if she doesn't do her one job before leaving office there is a very big chance she will be epstined. No not by conservatives but by her fellow lefties and she fucking knows it. So she's going to do one of 3 things.

    1. Cut that deal when the time comes at a much higher price.

    2. Have a plan to flee the country

    3. die in office.

    Looks like she's planning on number 3.

    If she kicks the bucket, Newsom will be under heavy aggressive pressure to appoint an African American to the US Senate seat.

    No matter who it is, the senator just wont have the influence gathered over decades of work to swing a bail out. At that point Newsom will have to find a way any way to leave the position to some one else before the state hits the wall. Because if he's there at that point his career in politics is over.

    Were way past the point where reform of any kind is possible to stop it, now we await the conquences of our bad decisions.

    Pity he didn't lean on Pelosi to do it? Or is it because he doesn't care? "After me the Deluge."

    He also has water problems to look at and what happens if the other Colorado compact members say 'Fuck You, you broke the agreement."

    He did lean on her to do it, as did several other people in the state government and a few people connected to organized crime, she decided to spend the political capital on January 6th instead.

    Hence why she bought property in red state Florida on the other side of the contient to retire in because remaining here after retirement risks her being epstined. Being in country period might be lethal to her health she's made those kinds of enemies in among the left here and that wrath is only being apeased by the promise she will do her singular duty.

    As for the compact, we deserve what happens to us on that front because seriously we are right next to the fucking ocean and can tap that for water at any time, fuck we built a reverse osmosis plant during a drought once and then destroyed and sold it because said droubt ended. Thats darwin award level shit.
