The default Brasil sub is completly controled by leftists so no surprise they are worshipping Lula. They have been doing so for a decade.

In other news the economy had a issue. Lula fucked with some rates and now banks are no longer offering low interest payroll loans for retired people, they now have to get other more annoying loans that they will likely results in old fucks fumbling the payments.

Basically Lula continues to fuck up the Brazilian economy.

Wake me up when the Brazilians get a DeSantis type person to win the Presidency.

We won't. The bigger the disaster Lula's administration becomes, the more justification Congress gets to make Brazil a parliamentary(sorry, "semi-presidencialist") republic, thus becoming the main power de jure as well as de facto(which it already is).

This is even worse

Bolsonarist congresswoman Júlia Zanatta (PL-SC) posts photo with machine gun and incites violence against Lula: "We can't let our guard down." On her blouse, she alludes to the president's hand pierced by three shots.

Best comment I saw on this was: 'Takes a dive, gets an yellow card, and starts defending the Left in order to not get expelled. This tired, repetitive plot is boring.'

Howdy from San Antonio, TX. I see that Lula & his ilk are milking the goodies for themselves again. Something tells me there's going to be a movie/documentary made about Lula down the road in 25+ years.

They already did a film about him the last time he was president. And yes, what little I've seen of it told me it's as much propaganda as you would expect it to be.

In other words, more propaganda during the 3rd term & potentially 4th term if Lula chooses to seek reelection in 2026.

No? Lula has Pneumonia and couldn't go. Haven't heard about Bolsonaro being back.

Also Brazil and China just agreed to drop the USD to do trade with each other. Brazil will buy Yuan and China will buy Real without the US middleman.

On one hand I hate China. On the other this does fuck the world order hard.

https://www.byoblu.com/2023/03/30/brasile-il-ritorno-di-bolsonaro-continuero-a-fare-politica/ Bolsonaro has returned to Brazil and ALLEGEDLY pneumonia so couldn't meet Xi in China.
Missed a 'Lula' in there - he's the one that has pneumonia.

Bolsonaro returning helps Lula somewhat - it galvanizes his base against Bolsonaro, thus stopping the grumbling that was growing louder. OTOH, Lula needs Bolsonaro to keep existing, and if Bolsonaro gets arrested now, his political career disintegrates (plenty of people wishing he would go away so they can push either Tarcísio or Zema as the 'new face' of the 'Right'), meaning Lula has no Emmanuel Goldstein to make an object of hatred for his supporters anymore.

Does this mean Bolsonaro will get arrested? If Lula has no other option, yes - but things won't come to this right now.

He's back. Right now he's on the PL's headquarters.

As for China... China owns the Brazilian economy, BUT Brazil can't go too much on China's direction because the USA can do a lot to fuck with Brazil. Also, I think you overestimate Brazilian trade relative to the rest of the world.
