Yep, the only ally Elijah had were those walls as he saw me take the elevator up.Did you grab all the gold bars? <;D
I'm sort of confused as to why you tagged me and quoted your own post again?@ParadiseLost I liked that he looks like an hobbyist-small time (actual) content creator rather than one of the biggies I tend to share. So here it is.
I mean strictly speaking the customer is always right. Not in a literal sense but they pay the bills, Halo, Destiny and Fallout would not exist without these 'toxic' fan bases funding them.Is it me or have major franchises have just grown unappeasable toxic fan bases? No constructive criticism and outrage for almost everything?
Like I can understand some outrage but now it's just cartoonishly ridiculous mob mentality.
Bungie whiners complain they ruined Destiny
343 whiners complain they ruined Halo
Bethesda whiners complain they ruined Fallout
And it's just endless bitching and moaning every other day about how the franchise is ruined because they patched a bug or don't pump out content faster anymore.
Why aren't fans actually grateful or appreciative to devs anymore? I noticed they can never say anything good and their examples/comparisons to other series they like is full of the same crap they complain about.
Respectfully I disagree speaking as someone who works in a customer service position more often than not customers are self entitled, combative and often have unrealistic expectations.I mean strictly speaking the customer is always right. Not in a literal sense but they pay the bills, Halo, Destiny and Fallout would not exist without these 'toxic' fan bases funding them.
Devs/Publishers do know they exist but without constructive criticism they're just left with trying random things until it sticks. And what are these fanbases to do? Why should they provide constructive criticism when the devs/publishers don't even know they exist?
I'd say to some degree it is, Elden Ring for example rode off the coattails of the opinion of Dark Souls so a lot of people bought it because of the positive reviews of Dark SoulsCan you seriously say that the majority of the time, products are shaped by customer opinion? Maybe some years ago but not anymore.
See this is what I disagree with. Vague subjective complaints doesn't help anyone it only worsens the divide between the producers and fan base. The bitching and moaning is the futile spasms of a powerless customer base, it's the only thing they have left now.
What do you call a bunch of people giving high reviews for real or fake reasons? Normal!
What do you call a bunch of people giving low reviews for real or fake reasons? REVIEW BOMBING!
Is it me or have major franchises have just grown unappeasable toxic fan bases?
They pay your bills, it matters not how entitled and unrealistic they are. YOU OWE YOUR PAYCHECK TO THESE RETARDS.Respectfully I disagree speaking as someone who works in a customer service position more often than not customers are self entitled, combative and often have unrealistic expectations.
Not to say that they're never right, but a lot of the times they're just being over dramatic.
From my perspective I have to disagree, there's too many decisions made that go against the customer preference. Do some devs follow their customer wishes? Sure. But you cannot tell me with a straight face that anyone 'wanted' a kitbashed half-assed open world Halo game missing the classic magnum lmao.Devs/Publishers do know they exist but without constructive criticism they're just left with trying random things until it sticks.
Perfection is impossible, getting everyone or even a majority to be satisfied with something like wise is no easy task especially in the modern age. (People have exponentially higher expectations)
The 'souls' games in general tend to be well receieved, but there's countless complaints, constructive or otherwise about CoD Zombies.I'd say to some degree it is, Elden Ring for example rode off the coattails of the opinion of Dark Souls so a lot of people bought it because of the positive reviews of Dark Souls
Call of Duty zombies has been a staple for the series since it became popular and it's almost universally expected now with every sequel.
Negativity can help in many ways. When there is an angry mob demanding something, do you listen to them in the hopes of quelling their anger, or do you let them fester and become yet angrier? Most devs pick "B" because as it turns out angry internet mobs have zero power over giant corporations.See this is what I disagree with. Vague subjective complaints doesn't help anyone it only worsens the divide between the producers and fan base.
Negativity helps nothing, it only hurts the devs more and forces to spam more shitty content because everyone's complaints are so vague and general that it's impossible to resolve.
If you are dissatisfied with inaccurate complaints, are you also dissatisfied with inaccurate praise? Because I can tell you that the bar is never going to get higher with either of them.Thing is some complaints are valid and some are just outright subjective and could either be the fault of the game or just a gamer being a diva
This isn't worth the cost (Subjective, some people bitch for $20 dollars some shell $50 no problem)
There's too many bugs (Some people bitch about six/twelve bugs over the course of 7 hours and others bitch about a dozen every hour)
The graphics are outdated (Again some people think Crysis 3 graphics are dog shit and some think it's good)
The story didn't make sense (The player wasn't paying attention and is a dumb ass or the story really didn't)
And just some of the complaints I've seen are just petty minor things that gamers from ten years ago wouldn't give a shit about.
343 Haters are bitching that the Devs are pumping out content every three months, and that optional skins look like dog shit so they want to fucking sue the creators of the game for fraud because it hurt their feelings.
Bungie haters are complaining that the optional expansion isn't as good as the last one so they want to shut the fucking servers down because all the other good aspects don't matter.
It's that melodramatic shit that annoys me. If Classic games like Fable TLC came out today people would be bitching it's too short and that they didn't know what is going on and that the characters are boring and a whole bunch of literally unquantifiable and subjective shit.
