This the only JRPG after Nier Replicant and Automata that I want to play, though I still Scarlet Nexus and Code Vein I want to try out.

It would be nice if you could reclass Gran as his other jobs, rather than just being stuck with his default form.

I wonder if they will add more characters. Sara would be interesting because of her sand summon, maybe she could play like those puppetmasters from the Naruto Ninja Storm games.

There are 14 playable characters announced thus far. 11 of them play the same, whacking at enemies in melee range either with a weapon or close range magic. Rackam and Eugene have rifles and Io has magic and they can manually aim or lock on to targets and shoot from a longer distance away. There's only really two playstyles. I thought it'd be cool if they added more characters who played differently. Having played the gacha, Sara came to mind because of her sand elemental, which could work as a puppet or from Ninja Storm or V's pets from DMCV.

In the Naruto Ninja Storm games, there were puppetmaster characters who played a little unconventionally. They could lock on to a target and send their puppet towards the target, but also be able to move the puppet and/or the puppetmaster character at the same time, and pressing the attack buttons made the puppet attack, not the puppetmaster. But the player retained movement control over both the puppet AND the puppetmaster, so while you were attacking with the puppet, you could move your puppet master around the battlefield to dodge incoming ranged attacks, or move the puppet to block incoming attacks. It's hard to describe, but it was unique and fun and I loved playing as puppetmasters. V from Devil May Cry 5 also plays similarly.

Never played Project Zomboid and I'm still not really interested in giving Project Zomboid a try but I did spend the past few days watching (meant to mostly be on background but often found myself watching it like a damn movie) a thousand day playthrough of that Zombie Survival Simulator.

He has it broken up into hundred day bits (typically under an hour long per episode) as well but it was nice easy watching without paying attention too much. I was pretty impressed with how in depth the game was mechanics wise and with the world building and customizations and realizing that he was using a lot of mods and stuff as well.

Appreciated that the YouTuber himself had a very accessible and personable narration and explaining style with humor and grounded personality and wasn't overwhelmingly obnoxious or playing weird music or excessive editings or whatever like people in the comments of the videos apparently decried other Project Zomboid content creators for engaging in.

Playing Elden Ring on a Guitar Hero controller.

Sadly no musical accompaniment but I'm still getting Darkest Dungeon Jester vibes.

In spite of, or maybe to spite the controversy (I've had this game on my wishlist for months and I don't care what some crybullies say) I spent the evening with Hogwart's Legacy, and I've been enjoying the exploration. It's still early days, so still a lot more in the way of gameplay opening up but so far it's been fun. The 'trans bartender' is a joke - it's a woman with a hoarse/deep voice; I don't think I would have noticed if I hadn't been told. A bit more jarring was one of the fellow students names Sarah, her voice just doesn't fit her face.

I am not a fan of JFK before it was a thing, never finished the movies in the first places because I got bored of it and the world seems a bit...empty?

I have never read the books, but I have watched the movies. Some are better than others. Really don't care about JK's views, and she's no genius but the setting can be fun. The game is set more than 100 years before the main books/movies (late 1800's) and so far the game is delivering on an explorable Hogwarts, you are a new 5th year student (bit of the old chosen one thing going on, but it is a video game), and you have a world to explore/exploit and a questing/levelling system. Steam says I've put in 5 hours - but I've only completed the first day. I'm sure I coudl have gotten that far in half the time if I wasn't wandering around, gathering loot and figuring out the first exploration puzzles.
