The Chinese Dugong gas gone the way of the Chinese River Dolphin... Extinct.

Though in this case merely "functionally." Dugongs still reside (often under threat) in other nearby waters including near Japan and the Philippines. Due to a rapid population collapse Researchers haven't sighted a Dugong since 2000 though there have been anecdotal sightings reported and some still live in captivity.

And that’s not counting all the other animals that are becoming endangered due to ‘Chinese traditional medicine’. Bastards.

Imperial Japan had the right idea: "Fuck China" but went about in a way that managed to irritate practically everyone else who also didn't like or trust the Chinese.

One should keep in mind that what we are seeing is not how china traditionally roles.

I want to repeat myself Communist china is not a historical norm of chinese behavior yes they have always had a bit of an ego but for most of their history they have been an honorable country. What we are seeing right now with CCP led china is a china stripped of any and all traditional restraints and ethics.

If you want to see how china would be like with out communism fucking with them visit Taiwan.

China has a long history of not being a good neighbour and Taiwain used to be a part of Imperial Japan (see: Formosa).

They're basically the HOA Karen of East Asia: no one likes her but has to put up with her because there will be no end to the bitching and screaming if she doesn't mostly get her way.

China is worse than the "friend nobody likes". I'll invite him to a party. I won't invite Karen.

China is historically a better neighbor to have then russia.

Indeed.

China is the longest lived civilisation of them all with thousands of years of cultural heritage. The rest of Asia essentially apes it because it came before them.

The Middle Kingdom is out of balance, undone by the Red Dynasty. When it finds its balance again, all under heaven may yet come under its sway.

Their government and society is nowhere close to being as stable as San Marino's.

That's a constitutional republic which was founded in 301AD and their current constitution was written in 1600AD.

Pharaohs came before any of the Chinese Emperors, and Egypt survived the Bronze Age Collapse and Sea peoples unlike most other civs of the time.
