First step in the purge of armed forces

It looks like it's going to be done department by department
The briefing, by Army Col. Mike Henry, MD, deputy commander of Special Warfare Medical Group (Airborne)/Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center at the U.S. John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (JFKSWCS) at Fort Bragg, came two days after President Joe Biden was inaugurated, a source familiar with the briefing said.

Henry “told us that if anyone gets caught wearing, buying, selling, affiliated with in any way, any of those things on those list, that the first thing he’s going to do is chapter us out of the Army. The second thing is, he’s going to handle the investigation by sending it over to the DHS,” the source said. “He didn’t quite outright say that we would be arrested, he used the word ‘detained.'”

Some of the imagery on the slides clearly refer to hate symbols, such as a swastika or other Nazi-related symbols. However, also included is “Pepe the Frog” — an internet meme frequently posted by members of the political right to troll the political left. The slides, obtained by Breitbart News, said this about the meme:

Other imagery on the slides included those associated with QAnon, the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, the National Social Club 131, the “Kek” flag, the Boogaloo movement, the National Socialist Order, 14, 88, the swastika, the sonnenrad or sunwheel, the SS, the Celtic Cross, the WP “okay” hand symbol, the Archangel Michael Cross, the “Othala Rune”, the “Norse Algis Rune”, the “Totenkopf”, the Universal Order symbol, the nuclear symbol, and the ((( ))) “echo.” The descriptions of QAnon and the Oathkeepers are also accompanied by photos of protesters at the Capitol on January 6.

Antifa and BLM are okay though.

@Zachowon , what exactly stops a pro Biden appointment, when Biden asks them to jump, from asking how high?

If a political appointment points at you and calls you a racist subversvie, how much protection do you really have?

You place I think a little too much faith that the dictators will respect the rules. And based on the stories in hearing from some active duty, I think you overstimate how loyal the soldiers will be to each other when there is a reward for betrayal.
You also seem to think the military can't say no...
It looks like @Zachowon maybe wrong.
Still not wrong.
Because if one claims any of those are religious, that is something the Army has something that covers, and will not end well for the DoD.

I should mention, a couple of those things have already been banned....

But the Celtic cross and Archangel Micheals cross, as well as the runes are going to cause lawsuits for religious freedoms.

So yeah, the DoD is going to be hurting hard for those three ones.
The rest, most of those are already banned, and so is showing political party and conspiracy theory stuff.

Also, them sending it to DHS is because they know the SM will win if they fought it through JAG. Which I for one would.

...And you seem to think the government can't just dismiss anyone who refuses to comply with their ever-increasingly authoritarian mandates. I think we're about to see how much power our military really has, in comparison to the state; and if the state doesn't like the answer, I fear they may do something drastic to assert their authority.

The military can also be sued, and one can win said lawsuite. Beilive it or not.
Because if banning the stuff they want to ban includes RELIGIOUS iconography, especially of religions they allow within the military, they are saying something they will regret and it will turn on them.

The military makes plenty of stupid decisions.
Yet even ones they think will work, like SHARP and EO seem to...not be the best. Ft Hood for example.

I kinda get the feeling the establishment would like to replace our military with what the CCP have; a brainwashed personal army who's loyalty rest with them, and not the country as a whole. Not that I'd expect the military to let that happen without a fight, but neither do I expect the establishment to not at least attempt to turn them into such a thing. Things are going to get intense for the foreseeable future.

The doffremce being the CCP military arnt given the ability to say no to an order without death on the table.
We can. We have.

And I've no doubt they intend to take that ability away from you; or indeed, from all of us.
They will not win that fight. There are plenty of high upside that are against that, and there are just to many areas for that to be stopped in the chains of command

I want to believe that you're right about that, but well... that's what I felt about the election too. I believed they wouldn't win, that they couldn't win; but then they did. There should have been so many things standing in the way of their blatant cheating, and yet it all seemed to evaporate the moment the establishment needed it to. I suspect you may be overestimating the integrity of your superiors, and underestimating the power of blackmail and bribery.

Only time will tell I suppose; but the fact remains that I am very worried for the future of this nation, and I think you should be too.

Dude, they're literally saying that they're going to arrest service members via Homeland Security for internet memes, which they're labeling "extremist." If the military has no way of telling the government to fuck off over that, just how do you propose the military stands up to anything? They're doing this specifically to purge the armed forces of the kinds of people who would actually keep to their oaths and not obey any illegal orders.

I'm just telling you the truth

You do know the Military can't assume something is a meme right?
Because the issues that could arise from it.

They will not have a military if they want to purge those who go against the oath....

What do yall not understand that this new rule is going ti backfire horribly at the very least for three aspects....

They literally just added to a lost already existing, with things already on said list.

Plus, any smart SM would go to JAG before they get chaptered. As one has to be given notification.
They would also give one honorable unless they want to go with JAG and court and all that.

There is a reason they are going to DHS. Because they know it will be AFTER they get out.

Which still won't work, because they are being tried for something of them during service instead of out of it, and it is a military issue.

Removing the "OK" sign is going to really hurt any underwater operation considering that's part of the sign language divers use to communicate underwater, and in fact the first sign they're taught and the most important one.
It wont. Because as long as no pictures are taken all is fine, and outside of divers, unless you have a snowflake no one cares
