Just finished the first episode...won't spoil anything, but it's definitely not what I expected (not in a bad way, more of a slow burn way).

I haven't seen it yet, but I expect the pacing to be relatively slow at first.
It's weird in that it's a slow burn plot-wise, but actually fairly fast-paced in the action/in-the-moment stuff.

Also, Gamorren's get some fucking respect for once, and it pays off.

We'll probably never get Voort saBinring-level Gamorren badasses on screen, Piggy was rather one of a kind, but it's a step up from what we saw in Return of the Jedi.

I found the first episode a bit underwhelming, even disappointing. I get that some people liked it as a slow burn and all but for me it was a bit too slow, as in not much interesting me on the screen to watch beyond the fact it's Boba Fett in Star Wars. The story so far seemed really blah and the action scenes were just rather meh IMHO with kinda slow fight choreography (there could be an explanation for it ofc) and an underselling of the capabilities of the shows protaganists IMHO. Even the insights into the Tusken culture didn't seem all that interesting to me.

Hopefully it builds up to something better in subsequent episodes.

They got a raw deal. Faced by a Jedi Knight cloaked in the fullness of his powers.

That wasn't the only one. They were completely butchered in one of the Clone Wars episodes as well. Like terribad in their portrayal.

It's about time that their rehabilitation and redemption comes. Because we sure as heck didn't get it with the Mandalorian's latest season. :p

I enjoyed it, looking forward to more. Kinda expect Boba to pay a visit on that Mayor who wanted tribute though.

I feel like the Sarlacc has hurt Boba more then we thought
I think the acid may have done some internal damage as well, possibly via inhalation of acid particulates (Boba had to get that air out of the stormtrooper's helmet, after being out for several hours at least).

As well, the sand-blasting he got, after just getting acid washed, may have left him with serious skin issues he needs to keep healing for a while.

Plus, he likely has some lingering head issues from slamming face first into Jabba's barge, and getting knocked about the head by the Jawas and Sand People.

I do like how things are going currently. Slow steady and showing he may be a badass but is still recovering.
And this takes place after he takes on a lots of stormtroops

Just a time-traveling robot stranded on Earth.
Yeah, definitely a slow burn, as @Bacle said. I'd be more disappointed, but considering how it's one of those shows that seems to need time to set everything up before diving in, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

So just finished episode 2...slow burn continues, but it is definitely a fun watch.

Not really a spoiler, but it seems the Tuskens do still have a cultural memory of Tatooine from before the Rakata glassed it, though they don't seem to remember that the oceans disappeared because of a glassing.

Also, Hutts will be Hutts, and Pikes will be Pikes.

i've only seen the first episode but, A lot of people keep complaining about how Boba was nerfed because he was kicked around by mooks. Maybe this is just my reasoning, but IMO we don't know if they are actually just mere mooks. The Galaxy has hundreds if not thousands of smaller scale factions and what we've been seeing up to this point has essentially been Rebel and Empire. It could be these guys could handle the Palpatine's red guard and we just don't really think about it all that much because these guys are small fries when compared to the scale of the empire.

Now the one complaint I DO have was the writers having Boba play dumb with that Twi'lek ambassador and then letting him go because he worked for the mayor. Even a Boba that rules off of respect would have disintegrated the punk or at least cut off one of his Lekku.

Also, we can tell by the way they dress and act that the different tusken tribes vary greatly. Not just behavior, but dress too. I wonder if there is a tribe out there that will unironically speak basic if dealing with outlanders.

Episode 2 gets us an insight into the Tuskens. Really good episode.
Also brings back a Legends character as well as someone seen in the comics. Very interesting.

Gonna be good when we see how this evolves and grows

Which Legends character?

I know now about a certain walking carpet and his implications from the comics, which is all kinds of fun, but that was Disney canon.

Said walking carpet was also in legends iirc or a version of him was but could be wrong.
This one has made good impressions from Canon material

Huh, guess I do not remember him from Legends.

Still, having him around in the story means we could get some very interesting tie in's with characters from Disney comics.

I personally am more hoping we get Omega showing up at some point via Fennic, so the 'brother' and 'sister' can meet.

Plus, it might mean we see 'Old Batch' and Boba dealing with a bit of his clone past.
