China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

Cases are going up.
Meh, the strain the us has been fairly low level, I am wondering if it is things like smog that made the situation so bad in China, in which case I wonder what would happen if a group of people got it, then had a lot of smoke inhalation from say setting buildings and other stuff on fire In their peaceful protests.

I agree with these articles. We are watching trusted sources contradict themselves before our very eyes. The fragmenting of public opinion will only accelerate because of this.

When a second major outbreak occurs, as I believe it will thanks to the riots, health officials will have lost a great deal of credibility with most people; particularly those not amongst the regressive left. I suspect that they will not be able to convince them to comply if another quarantine is needed, so I hope we can manage without one.

We should be expecting a second spike in the next month, likely bigger than the first in some places, based on what I've seen. The riots will cause it, though I'm not sure how much will close up again.

We are likely going to need those ventalitors and masks in the stockpile a lot sooner than expected.

Im going to be fucking pissed if a second outbreak happens after the country is slowy starting to reopen because of some dumbass rioters.

I should have expected that really
There will be all this chat on the news about 'Why is there a second spike? and 'Why does it affect this particular group?' and the answer will be because they are fucking stupid.

It isn't them getting ill that bothers me, thats mostly just a duh moment, it is the fact people around them back home will get it too who had nothing to do with it that bothers me. This isn't something where you make a choice and only you suffers the consequences, if it was that then you take your chances. It is that one person's ignorance and selfishness can affect literally hundreds of others. Sometimes fatally.

There won't be a 'second spike.' Outside of NYC (and maybe another place I'm forgetting), there was never enough of an outbreak to cause medical overload problems in the first place.

It's becoming increasingly obvious that this whole thing has been massively overblown, and once fatality numbers are corrected for misattributed deaths, the conclusion is almost certain to be that the lockdown was never justified in the first place.

As with every other epidemic in history, we should have simply quarantined either those known sick, those at greatest threat, or both.

I guess people were being too “cautious” then.....I think a bunch of small businesses and individuals now have the justification to start suing the government.

Yeah, gonna burst your bubble; corona is a still a very real concern for people. With these protests and riot, it's likely going to spread farther, and we won't know how far for at least another 5 days to 2 weeks.

What’s the term? Clownworld?

The Far Left are the ones REALLY breaking quarantine and other stuff now and likely to be the most infected now

They may try blaming it on “Right Wingers” but you’ll know who was severely breaking hygiene rules with pics and vids alone

Every single projection that politicians have made decisions based upon has proven to be gross exaggeration. I have zero trust in this or anything else in the near term.

Polis has been relatively moderate despite being he first openly gay governor in the US, and has to work with state level GOP to get anything done. The numbers in CO have been pretty consistent, and the testing the UCHealth is doing in-state have a 98% accuracy rate. He's even trying to open up earlier than other Dem governors, so I don't think he's overreacting.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a modest uptick, but nothing big enough to be called a 'spike.'

A lot of people are forgetting that disease transmission is subject to weather/environmental factors as well, and Covid strain are generally seasonal.

We're in the off season now.

Maybe, maybe not.

But the projections are, if at least 65%-56% social distancing isn't maintained, the CO health system expects to be overcapacity with Covid by August.
