You might have a point if we were not talking about Idaho, where they haven't suspended the courts, or the Bundy gang (I refuse to call them a militia), who attempted their own insurrection back in 2016. There's a line to be drawn in the sand, to be sure, but it's not here; these guys are just making things worse for everyone.
Let me put it this way there are 18 of them within 40 miles of my house. That should tell you all you need to know.
I'm sorry but, I disagree with Tim Pool on this one; not about the necessity of protecting our constitutional rights, but that these violent assholes are actually doing that. They're just making the situation worse with their bullheadedness and propensity for violence; they're going to get people killed, again, and give the government another example to point to for why they need to suspend our right to assemble peacefully (temporary, of course). Because clearly, we cannot be trusted with it, if moronic thugs like Aamon Bundy (who, as an aside, believes the Corona virus to be no worse than the flu) are any indication.

Honestly, that would just result in the nutters forming their own groups, and several decades of feuding between insane and non-insane groups. Nobody outside the Patriot movement will give a fuck, and they'll lump everyone in with the crazies. The Feds will have a minor headache as they reorganize their confidential informants to make sure that all the new groups are as hopelessly infiltrated as the old groups, but after a few months it will be business as usual.
