China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

I think it's what the cartoonist sincerely believes - he's very anti big government.
The Chinese regime has probably been using the situation as an opportunity to "disappear" critics. There are no doubt people in the USA who think the same way.
Well that is no doubt.
But him claiming the US is doing that? Like WTF.

I remember Ben Garrison from back when I used to be really into anti-government conspiracy theories, and a big fan of Alex Jones. Reading what he has to say now just reminds mere of how utterly foolish I was as a teenager.

Anonymous officials is how all news media bases their reports now. The fact that The Democrats like you are whining about a pro-life discussion occurring around the bill is a red herring to deflect from the fact Pelosi was lobbying for funding of abortions in the bill. Daily Caller breaks the story then the Democrats started their deflection and turnabout nonsense.

And it's not just the Daily Caller of course.

That article is citing the Daily Caller.
Have you not been informed how the CCP starved many thousands, maybe millions, of people under Mao to make the mad rush to industrialization?

Or how it's treating Uyghers?

I doubt the release was intentional. But acting as though the CCP wouldn't kill many of it's own people, or allow them to die via denial of care or resources, is disingenuous at best.
There's a big difference between a government being authoritarian and ruthless as opposed to downright stupid.
The story I heard was some researchers got bitten by bats they were experimenting on (despite warnings for years about the dangers of this sort of research) and because of the long asymptomatic period, the virus got loose before anyone realized something had happened, after the researchers left the lab.
While that doesn't sound impossible... it still sounds a lot less likely than the virus coming from bushmeat, especially given that genetic studies suggest that pangolins were the initial carriers.

I stand by my statement.

I kid I kid.

Welcome to the European way of living with mostly cooking your own food and not going to restaurant every day. 🙃
I do that anyway.

It's more that there are restaurants that I have been going to since I was five that I am worried about. They aren't chains, and I'm worried they will face financial issues that larger restaurants can simply tank. These are family-owned places where I've known current servers since they were born, and where they feel like part of the family. They might stay open for carryout, which is what I hope.

John McAfee is right. Something does not add up, here. I have never seen quarantines and lockdowns like this, before.
China did it and it seems to have more or less worked, that's the reason. Social distancing isn't a new concept in epidemiology anyway.
As for why with this disease? The fairly mainstream and moderate predictions of 30-80% of population in any given country getting infected and 1% of the infected dying plus some more surviving with permanent lung damage are the reason.
80k dead is considered a very bad flu season by the CDC.
Do the math... Compare 1% of 70% of US population.

McAfee looks at current numbers, which are pretty much an early stage. These efforts are meant to limit how bad the later stages get. Comparing it to well researched year's worth of flu victims averaged to a day in a year is not accurate. For an accurate comparison, we will have to wait a year, and take a country with the least countermeasures.
Once it has more infected and dead than the flu does in an average year, it's going to be a bit late to take any epidemiological control measures - the right time to start was weeks ago.
A bunch of stars, celebs, and politicians are reported sick. A crapload of CEOs just mysteriously stepped down for some reason. And then, today, in some of the circles in which I wander, I've come to find out that Google's algorithmic search filter is down and the search results are all unfiltered right now for some reason.
Possibly about "muh conspiracy theories and fearmongering". They did the same thing over a lesser event, at least with youtube, for weeks after the New Zealand shooting, because they didn't want people to google the related video and memes.

...Was Ben Garrison always this crazy, or is this a more recent dive off the deep end?

The total number of deaths outside China, so far, have been low, but everyone has been expecting the situation to suddenly go out of control and result in massive casualties.

Seriously. Google something highly controversial or offensive. Anything. Watch what happens.

Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore. o_O
It is a very fast infecting virus is why.

Also, o can tell you without a doubt there is mo conspiracy with the government behind this.

The shit that's going down in Italy is really bad. There are now 300 to 400 dying every day over there, it looks like:

What is the average age of the deaths? Thier health like? Are thier hospitals capable of helping?
There is more to this then "get sick die!". If you are in general good health you will survive.

Not sure how to answer that. I suppose you could check out some of his older ones and judge for yourself.
One caveat though - not everything with his name on it is actually by him - some are faked or edited by others. So only trust the ones on his own website, not reposted ones elsewhere.

A lot of Conservative commentators have been skeptical not of the virus (like that "Hoax" lie the media propagated) but the response to it.

In addition Prager on his radio show when talking about it kept bringing up we don't know the death rate because as far as we know a large fraction of those afflicted have mild symptoms or ones indistinguishable from the flu or cold along with other forms of under reporting.

Also mass closings too early in an outbreak might not be sustainable later on when it might be more effective.

While you are right, last I'd heard the biggest source of edits still came from /pol/, which almost all include merchants.
