China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

Arch Dornan

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.

I've seen the future...
As someone who actually works in a hospital, I’ll weigh in with my two cents here in regards to the bleach spraying, if indeed that’s what the Chinese are spraying.

Its another Party PR stunt, sadly. Sure, it seems like they’re trying to do something, but that’s the whole point. To effectively disinfect with bleach, you need to apply it directly with a medium such as a wipe to all surfaces and wipe/scrub thoroughly including all nooks and crannies. If this virus can survive on typical surfaces for up to three weeks or longer as they’re claiming, just spraying it into the air doesn’t do crap. In fact, they’re potentially making it worse.

The air quality in China is horrible with all the pollution, which leads to a large segment of the populace having reduced autoimmune systems. Spraying bleach into the air is worse as it is highly corrosive if it gets into the lungs and internal organs if you breathe it, that’s why in hospitals whenever they use bleach they always (or at least typically) use a medium like hand wipes. That said, Bleach wipes in fact are a good thing to have on hand if you’re planning to take precautions and stock up on any essentials. Just remember to wear protective gloves when you use them, or any other material you’re using to disinfect a surface as common practice.

EDIT: It also helps to stock up on isopropyl alcohol, and alcohol wipes if you can get them. Just remember if you’re using pure bleach as opposed to bleach wipes, to dilute it with water as per instructions and always make sure you have adequate ventilation. Regardless what you use, also keep an adequate supply of disposable prepackaged sterile gloves, latex preferred unless you have an allergy to latex.

The PM of Sigapore dropping some facts.

5:14

"If the numbers keep growing, at some point we will have to reconsider our strategy. If the virus is widespread, it is futile to try to trace every contact. If we still hospitalize and isolate every suspect case, our hospitals will be overwhelmed. At that point, provided the fatality rate stays low like flu, we should shift our approach. Encourage those who only have mild symptoms to see their family GP, and rest at home instead of going to the hospital. And let hospitals and healthcare workers focus on the most vulnerable patients, the elderly, young children, and those with medical complications. We're not at that point yet, It might or may not happen, but we are thinking ahead, and anticipating the next few steps. And I am sharing these possibilities with you, so that we are all mentally prepared for what may come"

The MSM are finally questioning the Chinese numbers. What a bunch of racist bigots! Not trusting fair Beijing!

Also, has anyone seen Xi Jinping? His 2nd in command has shown up a lot but Winnie the Pooh is nowhere to be seen. Some 4chan LARPers are already claiming he was kill thanks to getting in contact with Wuhan Viral Lab people who were asymptomatic carriers.

I don't think Xi is dead, china went from a partywide authoritarian state into a cult of personality authoritarian state. Before he consolidated power he could have easily blamed this on local officials but now all the blame is concentrated on him. So in all honesty I think he's trying to figure out how to fix this mess. Preferably before it sets off the economic time bomb of bad debt china is sitting on.

The american media has always been conspiracy theorist since beginning. claiming with zero proof that there even is any disease in China at all in the first place. China number 1 in most healthy people in country in the world, lying american watermelon sellers jealous of China success at health so spread false rumors of virus outbreak.

14,840 new cases, including clinically diagnosed cases, and 242 new deaths in Hubei province, China.

....What just happened?

The Chinese revealed that they weren't counting people who were infected but asymptomatic and the WHO forced them to do so, so they dumped all of them in during one day. The deaths are just official certificates catching up with the main tranche of infections, at least according to the PRC.

@TrainDodger Probably. The modeling done by epidemiologists in somewhat-freer Hong Kong suggested that by April or May there will be 100,000 new infections a day in China as the virus hits its peak. There's probably hundreds of thousands already infected. But I'm unconvinced that the death rate (not necessarily the total number of deaths, since both the case load and the death toll could be higher without changing the ratio) is higher than being reported. I don't think China would be in the process of sending people back to work if that was the case. I think they've actually concluded the opposite: That the death rate is low enough that the economic harm from keeping businesses shut down will exceed any damage to the country from a few tens of millions of people dying. That would be very communist thinking.
