It really depend, the data shown so far show that it take a long time for the disease to run its course, one way or the other, for example, the whistleblower doctor took 20 days from symptoms to death.
Then again, if this is true then this data is worthless anyways.

Comparing the number of infected people to the number who have died from it already doesn't tell you the real death rate. For that, you want the ratio of people who were infected and have completely recovered vs those who died.

One, I’m very fucking scared about what’s happening because I’ve studied the matter altogether too closely and determined that this virus has the potential to brutally kill millions.

Two, a panic would depress the economy to the point where adequate pandemic response would be crippled. If people knew the truth, the DOW, NASDAQ, and Shanghai exchanges would plummet to the point where we’d struggle to manufacture masks, ventilators, and all sorts of necessary equipment.
