I was wondering when this would be officially announced.

In this case, with the poor state of health care in NK, the brutality of the regime may be the only thing that stops it from spreading.

Though I guess Kim could come to the table again, maybe trade a few nukes for medical supplies.

Yep the CCP is definitely hiding something . I expect cases of the virus in america to get more widespread because of the Incubation period in a lot people ending and they start showing symptoms.

TBH Soviet's Chernobyl was neither end of the fucking world nor the economy as we know it. At most it has helped tip over an already weakened communist government, which raises a potential for interesting case of history repeating itself...

Well, now we'll see if posting this info on FB with links to windy.com gets me suspended or the page wiped.

The CCP will have to face the music for this sooner or later. The more pressure people put on them, the more they cannot silence the leakers (now seeming to be the actual doctors in many cases) and the spread of the info from non-CCP/WHO controlled outlets, the sooner the CCP will have to admit how bad things really are.

It came very fucking close in those first few days.

If the divers hadn't been able to drain the tanks, or Legasov hadn't discovered the bubbler tanks were full in the first place, it could have made most of Eastern Europe uninhabitable for centuries.
 
While it's important to be skeptical of CCP numbers considering how face saving they tend to be its also important to take the words of exiled billionaires in perspective as well.

We don't wanna go too far in one direction or the other without more substantiation and confirmation even if the CCP and WHO aren't being reliable reporters in this issue and obfuscating things at best.
