That getting Covid is a binary between "Perfectly Fine" and "Death".

The idea that they didn't test for mid and long term vaccine effects. (they did, mid and long term for vaccine is a couple weeks and one to two months respectively)

And of course the completely stupid idea that the vaccine kills more people then Covid.

It is perfectly fine.
Small pox vaccine makes it so you are carrying around a live dose of Small pox andyou could cause an outbreak if you aren't careful (Not 100% true but you can cause some issues with yourself and others if you don't pay attention with it)

COVID has shown to have long term effects. An NCO of mine had it and he has had been having harder time running since he had it. Same with someone who probably had COVID without knowing she had it. As much shit I talk about COVID, there are people who definitely have had long term issues thanks to it. THe military cant have such a thing happening, and even being sick for a couple days is a couple days someone is not doing their job. In some cases it isn't a big deal, in others it can mean vital information is not seen.

Aside from what Zachowon already pointed out, it's not just them being down because they're are sick, it's also them being down because they are out of circulation to keep the chance of them spreading it to others to a minimum.
