China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

For those who do not know, this type of vaccine (Pfizer one at least) infects some of your muscle cells so that they produce a form of the virus. The thing is, that form of the virus is not capable of reproduction, so your immune system learns to fight it. In the process of fighting it, you still get some illness symptoms, but once your muscle tissue at the injection site stops producing the neutered virus, that's it, it's done.

That's pretty close, but not completely accurate. What the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are is a strand of synthetic messenger RNA stabilized in a nanoparticle carrier solution.

The nanoparticle carrier provides for a reliable non-reproducing, non-viral method for inserting genetic material into a cell. Because it's single-strand messenger RNA rather than dual-stranded DNA, it doesn't require the support structure of a virus to force the cell to incorporate it into the cell's own genome; cells naturally uptake mRNA as part of their protein synthesis process, so all the carrier has to do is shield the fragile mRNA until it's physically entered the cell.

In this case, the synthetic mRNA codes for a specific surface protein that the immune system uses to recognize the COVID-19 virus, allowing vaccinated cells to functionally simulate the virus and train the immune system against it without any actual viral infection. This is in contrast to the not-yet-approved AstraZeneca vaccine, which uses the more conventional technique of genetically modifying a weaker virus to express the same surface proteins as the target virus.

-----

Note that the mRNA uptake approach has been the subject of biotechnology research since as early as the 1970s, but fell out of favor (and thus funding) in the 80s-90s because there wasn't very much progress on the challenge of actually delivering the mRNA to the cell in usable form. That's where the new lipid nanoparticle tech comes in and completely changes the game.

Ah I love the smell of missile spam in the morning

Well at least they got the seven outdoor tables with heaters.
how at least one lockdown supporting governor(or politician in general) hasn't been killed this year is something I'll never figure out. Mind you I'm not supporting political violence its just an observation of mine

Some polish businessman who lost their property thanks to it committed suicide, but none even try kill our idiot politicians. Why ? do not ask me.
But i read, that people in concentration camps or gulags ,even when could go down fighting, almost always just died without hurting their oppressors.
Something in human psychology,i think.

A little bit of good news today.

The Oxford Vaccine has been approved. This is the one that is cheap to make and easy to store, which is a real game changer. I believe Britain may be returning to normality a few months before the rest of the world (aside from Israel. Apparently they are doing quite well with vaccine roll out) at this rate. Here's hoping!
I hope you brits suffer! AMERICA FIRST! Joking to let you know

Good, I am just waiting for the Army to go. "Get your COVID vaccines, if you don't get them a the TMC, when you walk into work,we will prick you there

It's relatively cheap and it doesn't require supercold storage because it doesn't use the nanoparticle stabilized mRNA technology. It's an older type of vaccine, a relatively weak virus which has been genetically modified to express the same key surface proteins as COVID-19.

On the other hand, the U.S. hasn't approved it yet due to some genuine issues with the trials.

New COVID strain appeared recently, it's estimated to be 70% more transmissible than the last (but no more lethal). It started in the UK and spread to Europe, with the first confirmed case in the US in Colorado a couple days ago. However they're saying that the new strain will be affected by the vaccine just like the old so it's not as bad as it may seem. Forbes cites a study indicating it's only about 56% more infectious than regular COVID.

Not sure if this is the right thread but saw a Tim Pool video I wanted to share. Specifically the second part of it. Not sure how to timestamp so just sharing the link. About a pandemic related Bill in New York apparently. Its not the whole of the video so skip to around the 20:45 minute mark.

Here is a link NY state Assembly Bill A416.

Must be nice being an Instagram star. Get to avoid all travel and flight plans because they're "working" and clearly could never do it from home!

If it makes you feel better, the vast majority of star influencers are a flash in the pan whose "easy money" is gone about as fast as lottery winnings. The ones that actually manage to make a sustained career out of it are putting in a *lot* of work behind the scenes.

They draw a lot of hate because, attractive women in an independent solo career that looks effortless. But the reality is they're basically doing the job of an entire small scale film studio from planning to execution to marketing, and that is anything but effortless.

You say that when you have people like Jake Paul, Logan Paul on YouTube. Then you have All those tiktokers who literally don't do much besides a few small edits and are making thousands off of 60 second max videos...
Jake and Logan Paul are cunts, but you can't deny they work hard to become very profitable cunts.

You mean do dumb shit and get money from it? Paying people to edit for them?
Doing everything but filming by paying for it?
