China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

Rubbing alcohol, at least 91 proof.

Good for additional disinfectant duties and as a make-shift cooking/lighting source.

Also, stock up on candles and freezer packs. Both are in case the power goes out.

Probably would also be good to get a few items that are not essential, but could be used for barter.

There’s no reason to plan on sustained power outages. To be honest even buying water is a stretch, the municipal water supply will be fine. This virus is not and will not cause a breakdown in human civilisation.

I haven't considered the global financial impact now that Corona Chan has run roughshod everywhere from Asia to Europe and the Middle East. Is this where people start to sell their stocks and hasten the stock market's tumble?

As I mentioned before, during Event 201 with a deathtoll of "just" 1% on a plague that started in Brazil instead of the Earth's Sweatshop of China they predicted a fall of 11% of the global GDP and from 20% to 40% reduction on stock markets. So take that as a basis.

If it happens how many investors in suits are going to cry on screen and start suicides?

I recommended those for the same reason condoms exist; better have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Plus, I have no faith that EU governments will pull their heads out of their ass's long enough to properly address this bug or contain it.

Another factor in the breaking of the EU too when pressure is brought up for the borders to close?

I think the EU bearucrats and leaders would sooner let the bug rampage across Europe than ok normal border closures and travel restrictions. Particularly so soon after Brexit.

I expect the large ethnic ghettos/enclaves that they have created will be where the spread becomes uncontainable, because instituting travel restrictions or quarantines on 'minority areas' will not fly with many of the bleeding hearts and globalists who control the EU.

Whoops another blowback of their involvement in the middle east.

They really want to be like Bob Page and let it spread out into the streets huh?

Candles are mainly fire hazards in a modern home. While I haven't a full wired-in generation set, I have a small 1000-watt generator for charging and running important electronics intermittently, and a total of five kerosene lanterns (house and railway type) which I keep a sealed drum of kerosene for. However, that's really because I am rural. I don't believe that level of preparation is needed for this particular circumstance, Germany is a very efficient engineering country and they kept the lights on in Wuhan.

Some countries have set up emergency border restrictions even during the migrant crisis, so i wouldn't think things would be that stupid.
Austria has already stopped trains from Italy, at least for a moment, resumed them today as suspect passengers tested negative:

France and Sweden are the countries to watch in regard to that.

OK, several important updates.

First, remember that image showing a plume of SO4 in Wuhan which had many of you running around with your hair on fire? Well, it turns out that was not live data, but rather a model projection for pollution tracking based on historical SO4 emission rates in the city. Live data actually shows a net decrease in SO4 emissions in Wuhan. Note that said model has never been accurate in the past and has always significantly overestimated SO4 emissions, with that particular run not even the most egregiously high.

Second, those videos showing Chinese cops and soldiers shooting people supposedly because of the quarantine? Most of them date back as far as 2015 and are videos of criminals being shot while attempting to evade arrest. The one with all the 'gunshots' in the background that the commentary said were executions of infected civilians? Fireworks from last year's Chinese New Years celebration, not current footage, not gunshots. At least one of the videos is actually from a Chinese movie.

A good 90% plus of the PANIC NOW WE ALL GONNA DIE FROM COOF is exaggerated, made up out of whole cloth, misrepresented, or outright laughably wrong. So calm your tits. This isn't Black Death 2.0, this isn't Spanish Flu Two: Electric Boogaloo.

Someone's taking it seriously.

Business affected.

Trump asking congress for pandemic gibs.

Spanish flu while it did kill a lot of people wasn't a civilization ender.

The black death killed a 3rd of the people in europe but even then civilzation kept on trucking.

When you put it in hard numbers the worst estiment is 15% death rate and thats if everything goes to shit. That means every one here has in the worst case senerio a 85% chance of survival, I have bet on worse.
