To be fair that would be a couple 100 kids with heart issues. Where the reported death rate among children diagnosed with COVID is still below .03 percent.

It's like $125 a test. Employers don't have to pay for it, and insurance likely won't if there isn't a medical reason (like displaying symptoms or recent exposure)
So you'll have to pay $500 a month to keep your job.
And this doesnt apply to medical workers, even if they're remote or have no contact with patients. (Me)
So I lose my job in two months.

Check real close on what kind of tests meet the requirements for this particular imperial decree. I know in some places they were hasty and you can use much, much cheaper tests.

I wish there were another way, but seems the critical worker walk-outs and mass quitting is able to put more pressure on DC to drop the virus/vax BS than any other political activity.
Oh there is no other way at this point.

I'm going to lose my job of 7 years over this.
I can't type what I'm thinking or i'll get banned and also get a visit from secret service.
But the light version is that I actively want this country to crash and burn now. Just get it over with. I don't care about the economy, I don't care about the people, I don't care about any of that. I just want it to be destroyed. Civil war. Chinese invasion, nukes, collapse from mass firings. Don't care.

You definitely have legit reason to feel that way, and frankly to you have tried to keep your chin up and nose clean when others wouldn't, and this is the thanks you get.
I'd say you need to take this shit directly to whomever is the top most person in your org, and spell out plainly that they will be killing people by following the mandate, because they will drive away more of their shrinking staff during a time when it's hard to get people for basic jobs.
One of the top people is with me on this, it'll be interesting how this plays out at my company

That's what non-voilent civil disobedience is for. They want us to get violent to justify more shit; going MLK on them will short circuit a lot of thier attempts to push things to violence.
And GOP senators are already going after the mandate announcement, so this may get killed Congressionally, and SCOTUS know that siding with the Biden Admin on this just means people take a book from Andrew Jackson, and simply ignore SCOTUS.

Enforcement or the lack there of is another thing to consider. Are they going to go company by company tracking down every last unperson? Above all, I would never quit.
If you quit, you have no legal standing to protest. Force the govt. to have you fired so you can sue along with EVERY other person that is going to do the same thing.
